In B.League, world imports are not limited to the Americans. You see the likes of Rhys Vague, Brock Motum from Australia, Isaac Fotu from New Zealand, Ovi Soko from UK, Pablo Aguilar from Spain, and many more.
In both T1 League and P.League, we saw the likes of Palestinians, Iranians, Lithuanians and other nationalities aside from the Americans serving as world imports. Ricci Rivero could have been a world import there had it not for his injury.Attack

The Dragons announced the signing of the 26-year-old Fil-Am guard from California on Tuesday.
?Yes, he?s joining the Bay Area Dragons,? confirmed team manager Maya Montecillo.
Marvin Espiritu of the Espiritu Manotoc Management Basketball Management Philippines (EMBM), who handles Barefield, said the 6-foot-2 product of University of Utah was signed as the Dragons? Asian import for the March 1-5 tournament in Utsunomiya and Okinawa.
?His status is an Asian import. And alam ko ngayon (Feb. 7) siya darating,? Espiritu said.
His contract with the Dragons however, is only for the Champions Week for now.

Daniel Ochefu replaces Prince Ibeh
https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/p...230216-fbfirst
The window of opportunity opened for the 29-year-old American-born Nigerian after original choice Prince Ibeh failed to secure a clearance from the TaiwanBeer HeroBears where he currently plays in the T1 League.
?He (Ibeh) wasn?t release by his Taiwan team,? said TNT coach Jojo Lastimosa. ?So we took in (Daniel) Ochefu, yung dating import sana ng Rain or Shine.?
Lastimosa said Ochefu, a member of the Villanova Wildcats team that won the 2016 US NCAA championship, is arriving in the country within the week to join the Tropang Giga in the builup for the EASL set from March 1-5 in Utsunomiya and Okinawa, Japan.
The 6-foot-11 Ochefu was set to play for Rain or Shine in the last Commissioner?s Cup when the team was still handled by Chris Gavina.
But shortly after Yeng Guiao took over the coaching post prior to the start of the mid-season tournament, the Elasto Painters decided to let go of Ochefu and instead, settled for Steve Taylor Jr.

So EASL also allows Naturalized player alongside 2 imports for the event... Will SMB and TNT can take that advantage and pick Brownlee, Blatche or Kouame to their team to strengthen their chances?
Pride is what’s at stake in the EASL Champions Week in Japan on March 1-5 as powerhouse teams from the host country, Korea, Taipei, Greater China and the Philippines gather to decide bragging rights with the bonus of a $250,000 first prize.
Under EASL rules, a team is allowed to enlist two foreigners and a naturalized player or Asian heritage import. In Bay Area’s case, coach Brian Goorjian is lining up Barefield, a Fil-Am widely known as a Mikey Williams play-alike, instead of a naturalized player. San Miguel and TNT are currently playing in the PBA Governors’ Cup with only one import so they’re bringing in a second reinforcement for the Champions Week.

Will we see CBA teams in October?
https://m.facebook.com/eastasiasuper...979254/?type=3
East Asia Super League (EASL) met with the Chinese Basketball Association to discuss CBA teams and players joining the 2023-24 Season of EASL.
The CBA have responded positively to the invitation from EASL. Both sides believe that having CBA players and teams to participate in pan-regional events in Asia will be a good thing for all parties involved.
