Ateneo can really beat PBA teams if Ateneo with its resident FS and PBA teams play All Filipino....Even La Salle and UP can also beat PBA teams...

Difference lang talaga is the defense all three of these teams play. UP-Ateneo finals was a defensive masterclass from both sides, while Manong got La Salle to play good 1-on-1 defense.

      • If its PBA rules and PBA refs....Pero if they play in neutral enviroenment like invitational or EABL for example maybtalo anh PBA teams if PBA teams play All Filipino and Collegiate teams play with their usual UAAP lineup with FSA..

PBA teams pjysicalitu and bully tactics on defense are actually dirty and foul in Fiba...

Mas high nantalaga ang quality of play in vollege level especially in the UAAP...Could be TAb effect, teama has to innovate and strengthen their lineup to jave a chance of beating Ateneo...

Dont know how ROS, Phoenix and BWB could matchup with Kuoame though...Walang bigs ang Phoenix...Belga will jist foul himself out due to his dirty tactics...

You need a system, yes, but talent too. Would UP, La Salle, and Ateneo have the talent to beat the likes of SMB and TNT? MERALCO and Magnolia have solid defenses too.

Thats because players practice more in college, at least before. Pro volleyball is mostly for visibility for the top girls so they can still get socmed endorsements. Very different from UAAP vs PBA.

Maybe they have a chance but not consistently. Talent does matter a lot. UST ran good modern sets but finished 3-11.

The calls in Fiba Asia are tight except NZ and Aus games but in Fiba Worlds they let physicality. Look in the rebounding they are very physical plays. Actually help us when we became physical in Argentina game.

And before we know it, he's could be included in the very short list of the potentially more tactically-mature or FIBA-fit Pinoy coaches. BTW, is he from Coach Franz's coaching tree?

Thanks. He's got good coaching foundation as shown from previous MPBL stints. I hope it gets better with his upcoming gig.
