I actually pegged the SMC teams to be the favorites to qualify. I dunno about NLEX and MERALCO's chances, and TNT can't qualify this year.

Plus, our teams might have to learn to defend the perimeter, and rotate harder. 3PT% is as follows:

        Ryukyu: 36.1%
        Utsunomiya: 34.6%
        Seoul SK: 34.1%
        Anyang: 33.9%
        Taipei Fubon: 32.6%

        • So the AFC finalists this year will qualify? I think the 3 front runners will be GSM, SMB and TNT.

Yeah, All-Filipino finalists this year will qualify. TNT, however, won't qualify, due to its helping Gilas. In case TNT makes the finals, the 3rd placer will qualify.

What Fiba games are in conflict? Presumptive of Chot to think many TNT guys will be there. If the current guys do decently in their remaining games I dont expect a great demand for Pogoy, Rosario or Montalbo. Erram might be there. But I would think PBA will prioritize Junemar or Japeth as their rep. Rosario might not be even there even if Navarro is not considered because Balti is in contention for the mobile defensive 4 slot.

easl is one way to be able for asian to have single playing style eventually...
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

                • Why don't the PBA just combine the Comms. Cup and the Govs. Cup and have atleast 2-3 imports playing with the locals, so that the team that they will be sending will have better chemistry in the EASL comp.

PBA has the mentality that there is no money on elimination games, so more playoff games and finals games, more money.

                          • With luck, the EASL could expose the PBA teams and coaches to a glimpse of international ball, and get those coaches to adjust their tactics and get those teams to change the way they build.

If the PBA successfully adjusts, it changes the game here in the Philippines.

no money because their model s*cks because of this reason:

                              - teams are named either after a company name or brand name without a homecourt. why would i support a team based on perfume or sim card? as a result, teams don't have a built-in fanbase except for SMC teams.

KBL was successful on incorporating the regional and the corporate nature of basketball. for instance, Seoul Samsung Thunder - people from Seoul will support the Samsung team because they know that it is a team based on their city. this is what the PBA should follow.
