We have 2 centers - Andray and Junmar (non replaceable)
3 stretch 4 - Japhet , Erram and Troy
1 defensive wing - Norwood
3 shooting guards - Lassiter , Pogoy and Lee
3 point guards - Kiefer , Barroca and Bolick

Now if the pool got extended with invitation to Slaughter and CJ who will be your final 12? why?

If Pinoys forgave super ubo for snubbing Gilas multiple times they surely will give Parks a pass this time.

We dont need 6 guards, so one of the guards will go. Troy in Yeng scheme of things is a SF, Japhet and Erram just wont cut it as backup tobBlatche and JF, so we nned Slaughter as Almazan is still not yet fully recovered and might go on AWOL mode. Now the additional guys would serve as waem bodies and practice players as Yeng would need assitional players for the Spain tour as at least 4 players will be staying for the Commish Finals(GS, Japhet, Troy, Pogoy if GSM vs TNT finals or JF and Marcio if SMB makes it to the finals. In your 12 man team, remove Bolick and put Slaughter and that would be the Final 12..Expect at least 4 additional players to be called up aside from Bolick and Ravena (to serve as Warm bodies /practice players/reseeve player for Spain tour)

Kaya there is no chance for Parks to have a changed of heart. Napahiya na eh or expect Parks to play for Yeng. Kaya for the Qualifiers for Fiba Asia, the Cadets ahould be handled by a different guy perhaps Arespacochaga with Tab as Consultant and let Yeng Coach the SEA Games team..

Why are there so many guards again??? It seems like every coach and local-oriented fan wants to set up a security guard agency. There is only one ball for dribbling, and all guards mentioned not named norwood are greedy with the ball. This is world, not asean, level. It is almost insane that only norwood is the designated wing, and he can never be a 2way forward. Others too like erram and almazan are not great 2way players and certainly spotty as wings (though they are the best the pba may offer). Bolick or perez over lee. Slaughter over redundant barroca.

They should bring at least 14-15 players for serious scrimmages, and emergency replacements. Wala ng masabing kawawa outside final 12.

Lee is a Yeng Guiao player so he is shooin unless his shoulder wont hold up. Barroca is a sentimental favorite as he was part of the 6th window players who saved this Gilas WC campaign, isa pa mahirap naman na puro bago PG natin.. Its gonna be Ravena, Bareica and Lee PG combo.. CJ Perez and Bolick will be practice players and additional player for Spain tour (missing players for Finals team)

So 12 barring injury is set, if they miss players for Spain tour from the 12, I suggest rather than get PBA players who will just be fillers might as well get subs who are cadets, Ricci, Kobe, Go, Geo, Nieto,, the experience will benefit them, question. Is Blatche part of Spain tour?

As for the likes of barroca, only iverson and barea are proven midgets under world-class pressures. If im not mistaken, barea (puerto rico) already destroyed the best of pinoy midgets before.

Blatche will be part of Gilas pool for Spain, as he is set to arrive on July 8..Problem with Cadets or College players, players are also deep in their preparation for the incoming season... Ateneo will go to Serbia and Greece while UP will be going abroad also... The names you mentiones might not be released by schools...

Yes, but what can you expect from an NBA point guard like Barea? Isn't just natural & expected that he is going to outplay any Asian point guard?

Agree with this.

In as much as I would like Bolick to make it to the final-12 man roster for young-player-development sake, his inexperience would be a downside. Lee, Barroca & Kiefer on the other hand, have played considerable No. of international games.

I have the original 10 as the shooins. Then Kiefer for Castro and CJ for Thirdy. My take for CJ is looking at our lineup, only Blatche and Kiefer are the guys who can create their shots and break down defenses. Of course we would not want Blatche to be wore down in creating through isolation. The Castro-Blatche pnr combo did a lot of wonder and put a big pressure vs qatar and kazaks last window. Also, by having CJ Perez we will have another combo guard that is explosive and score, and also do some hustle and be an energizer for our team. With Kiefer and Perez as creators, I think it would be enough to prevent some plays na stagnant at walang kalalagyan, just like before when Castro and Romeo used to bail as out.

my criticism with matt is that he is afraid to take his shots whenever someone taller than him is guarding him. if in asian qualifiers, he is already afraid on taking that big shots, how much more in the worlds where the guards are as tall as the power forwards and centers he is facing in the PBA? he is also a non-factor in defense.
