Hope more Serbians can come and bring their euroleague atmosphere to the Sunday final.
Don’t have a dog in the final, but I like both teams. Germany winning can be big for basketball there. Football always king like all the big European countries, but I think they can be like Spain with basketball as a nice number two or better niche.
You think about Bundesliga in football is fast paced so basketball can attract some people there but don’t know how easy that can be.

Non-sense. You misread Serbia as a one-man team in Jokic. Serbia is a powerhouse basketball country. In this particular game Serbia was quicker to the ball, shot better and played better defense than Canada.

Fiba and NBA is just a bit a different right now. NBA is very biased on perimeter players. Tall strong bigs can't survive in the NBA because they won't be switchable. The 3s defensive call, doesn't allow them to camp in the paint on defense. Meanwhile, in Fiba, NBA slow pokes like JV can dominate on offense because they don't have to move their feet as much and calls don't go against them when guards throw their body at them.
The NBA just needs to bring big strong guys to match up against Theiss and other Fiba bigs. Remember DeAndre Jordan was more effective than Green when they played. JJJ was unmasked in this WC. His rebounding was atrocious. Banchero was not much of an improvement either. Undersized bigs like Green and Bam worked because they are strong post defenders for their size and they are also good passers. Secondly, they have to have more than one strong shot creator. Ant was effective but he was alone. You need stronger players the only finesse player that's going to work is KD and he's one of a kind. Look at Reaves he was attacked on defense in the second straight game. It's hard to win the game when your giving points easily on the other end.

This is the good sign… all participating teams in this edition of fiba World Cup will have prize money for 50 thousand euros (3 million PHP each) while those who make it into top 16 will have additional 100 thousand euros (6 million PHP) each… well for sure the winners of gold, silver and bronze will have more additional monetary prizes… having like this prizes will surely engage more teams will take serious in the future events… I never heard or not even news the past edition of the event like this…

“And that’s again because of the lack of [preparation]. If you think back, we were playing well in China, things were okay: The ball movement, the [movement of the] players. We were already getting to that level [that we wanted to be],” he added. “But we all knew how it was going to be when Jordan arrived. We had no idea how we would react [with] the way [other teams would defend Clarkson].”

(“Didn’t they see how well Rhenz Abando [played]? Was Abando a product of magic, his game just improving? Isn’t that because he learned from our stint in Estonia? AJ Edu. Did he just come out of the woodwork? And Dwight Ramos, was he already that good? I think all of these guys who were playing well learned from their experience,” Reyes said.)
Chot still being Chot. One of the fans' gripe against him is the benching of Abando (previously), so he trumps out the European training for the improvement in the games of Abando, Ramos and Edu. Whaaaat !!!! After the benching, Abando starred in Korea and we know his accomplishments hence the clamor for his inclusion and playing time. Ramos starred vs the Koreans and is consistently doing what he does in Japan against better competition. Edu is Edu, long talked about in IBN, and less hyped than Kai, but we all know he's got game. Coach naman, they became that way bec. of the learning experiences under your watch? Tell it to the marines. You could have just said you made a mistake with Abando and now you learned from that experience. I guess less people would fault you if you humbled yourself, even by just a little bit.
The coach of Team Germany is Canadian btw.
