The absence of the 3s defensive call allows centers to camp in the paint more offsetting their footspeed. JJJ, Banchero and even Portis are PFs in the Fiba game. Meanwhile NBA slowpokes like JV can play more. Even a guy like Looney who gobbles boards couldve helped. Banchero shouldve been a PF ala Green. He brings the ball in the NBA not sure why he didnt.

Sorry they shouldve brought an SG better than Reaves. He’s a good scorer but a weakpoint in defense.

I hope the fans come out for the final even if USA isn’t there because I feel that’s all no the pinoys want to watch outside Gilas, and even some seem to want to watch USA more than them.

Don’t have a dog in the final, but I like both teams. Germany winning can be big for basketball there. Football always king like all the big European countries, but I think they can be like Spain with basketball as a nice number two or better niche.

You think about Bundesliga in football is fast paced so basketball can attract some people there but don’t know how easy that can be.

Non-sense. You misread Serbia as a one-man team in Jokic. Serbia is a powerhouse basketball country. In this particular game Serbia was quicker to the ball, shot better and played better defense than Canada.
