Watching the game, CJ Perez was actually blowing by the guards of Senegal with EASE.. problem is finishing since he got so used to playing in the PBA going up against small centers that his usual finishing didn't translate. He usually just outjumps when going up on a layup, now that he is going up against athletic 7 footers he gets blocked multiple times.Comment

If I were coach chot I wouldn’t play Edu tomorrow. Or maybe just make him run through the motions and continue sharpening up his shooting. He had such a workload earlier.
By now he’s all but a shooin. Never mind the offense, that’s just a bonus. Edu’s value lies on his ability to provide the team with a different defensive dynamic, particularly his ability to hedge and recover and defend in open space. No other big can do that. That alone would’ve merited him an 8 mpg WC stint.
This tourney has only solidified himself, not only on the final roster, but in the rotation as well.Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.Comment
