Blatche in Fiba used the 3 to setup his drives. KAT is not skilled, agile enough to do this. Usually he just camps outside. If he really wants a better driving game, he should lose some weight. If he wants to maintain his weight now he should make more paint attempts like Jokic. He avoids contact but he doesnt want to lose weight.
Well, in nba, that is true about him… but this is fiba, where he will be one of the big names participating and he will facing less talented players that he can surely dominate… I check all of participating teams roster, KAT, Gobert and JJJ are the best big man will participating…we know that even fringe nba player dominating in fiba such as Scola, Olynik, Mills, Valencuinas… how much like KAT, who already have nba all star selection from the past… this fiba tournament will be easy for KAT and such as Gilas has no luxury to atleast hold on against him one by one…

Well, andray blatche has issues before in nba (attitude problem and gun issues) but when he played for gilas in fiba, he dominated other teams that has no match for him… Remember, he is former nba all star and fiba is very easy for almost all of nba players… even bucks legend thanasis antetekoumpo outduel Luka doncic in their 2 game tune up series between Greece and Slovenia… that shows how very good nba players are if they playing in fiba events…

Puerto Rico is eating them alive in the paint.

That was the 5 when Puerto Rico sealed the game. Haha

They struggled against the bigmen trio of Romero, Conditt and Ortiz.

          • China vs. Cape Verde, Slomo DNP, 6'6 20 year old Cui Yongxi is a very skilled wing and got some Jamie Malonzo like bounce, (Lebron Lopez take notes) the Zhou Qi-Edy Tavares match up is fun to watch Lol, China won by 20

I’m sure Cape Verde is happy already to be part of 32 team field event… any wins will be a bonus for them… can gilas invite Cape Verde for some tune up games? Gilas badly need tune up games after the china pocket tourney… Mexico and Montenegro still not enough, they need atleast 5 more games…

              • I still think italy will have an issue on taller big men who can shoot.. all of them are tall tweeners but arent the legit bigmen

                  • Are we the team with the least number of tune-ups against NT Team As?

Assuming Montenegro and Mexico pushes through, that's a total of TWO.

So pathetic considering we are the hosts.

Senegal counts and that's a total of three.

4 games overall against real national teams… but still not enough… from august 8-19, gilas don’t have any tune up games that they really needed… sbp should try to invite atleast 2 formidable teams for their tune up matches… Portugal is in kings cup and sbp should invite them to play against gilas for series of tune up games… they are not part of OQT next week and good timing to invite them… another one is Korea if in case they will not play for OQT next week due to travel ban in Syria… Korea will accept that if that is the case… gilas badly needs tune up opponents… even Russia, they are not part of OQT By the way… the next 2 opponents are Montenegro in august 20 and Mexico on august 21…

                        • was checking the fiba tracker on the world cup preparation, out of our Asian rivals, we have the weakest preparation. Japan is set to face Slovenia, NZ, Angola and France, China had a stacked schedule. And some of the posters here were laughing that Japan started their training camp playing against a rebuilding Taiwan

And to think we are the main host,,so i guess that asian slot for the olympics is just a pipedream now

MIES (Switzerland) - We will be tracking where, when, and how the participating teams will prepare for the World Cup in preparation games and how they perform leading up to the global meet later this year.

                          • China is doing everything possible to regain that Olympic slot. With how things are looking, it looks like they have it in the bag.

We don't deserve to be in the Olympics anyway. It will just be yet another disaster like what is happening now. And teams will just blow us away by 50pts or more.

China looked unimpressive in the qualifiers acually. But I think the Chinese stepped up their World Cup build up into a different level. I think the team spent a great time in a training camp prior to these tune-up games that they are having.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV
