This was a decent showing actually for an NP-less team. The addition of Edu actually raises our floor. With him there our defense is solid. But our offense has ways to go. Good thing our NP is a scorer.

They were working before but disappeared when Senegal tightened their defense. Our press surprised them a bit. We got a few points from that. But when they settled down it was too hard to score. Malonzo is really a bit short as PF for this level. Kai would give us another presence in the paint. But I am not sure who he will take the minutes from. I actually think him playing PF off the bench ala against Korea can work.

No choice really. He is the only one who could drive against the defense. But I think he still needs to improve his handles a bit so that he can prod and pull back if nothing develops.

I don't see our loss against Senegal as a negative. This is the first time in this preparation that the team has faced a real national team. Well, Senegal is not a World Cup-bound team but this team is still alot stronger than many Asian teams and at par with African teams. Our two games with Senegal will be valuable when we face Angola. We made things close without Jordan Clarkson and that's a very positive sign.

CJ was able to penetrate because Senegal were more attached to our perimeter guys. The issue is a lot our perimeter shots wasn't falling. Thats why Senegal pack the lane and our drives were challenge more. If our 3pts were falling we would have more open lanes

this was very winnable although glad to see a team pushed to limit as they adjusted defensively and badjo hit tough shots in the end after that disastrous where i thouh was manhandled by our guards

italy is a different fiba animal they arent traditional euro team.. they like to shoot.. spissu that little guy can be handy if he isnamed to final lineup

im trying to recall if we had quality friendlies after the Phil Arena brawl?. the only team that comes to mind is China during the clark bubble and the 36ers in 2019.
