The difference between international basketball and Pinoy basketball is we are honest about our gulang, while international teams like to gulang and complain they fall trap to other team's gulang. Most of us are just shocked how dirty international basketball is, especially in FIBA because we have the expectation and the FANTASY that it is clean play over there.

I feel that the non-American players (NBA or not) are complaining on how "dirty" Filipino cagers are is because they don't expect a "third world" southeast Asian country to match their gulang. It's case of pot meets the kettle.
Also, I strongly believe that the stereotype of effeminate and desexualized Asian men play a huge part on this. But meh, Filipinos have more macho attitude to the point that we celebrate male circumcision at age 8-10. Lol. It looks like international cagers are pissed off that Pinoys defy the effeminate and desexualized stereotype of Asian men.
Look at how the Russian player throws the ball at Terrence Romeo in a "subtle" way.

Gilas 7.0 needs to be smart here. They need to learn how to play by FIBA rules and at the same time, get used to gulang. Gulang happens in international basketball ...a lot and with more intensity.
