Group A predictions:

I think DR will be the toughest team here.. w/ Italy lose so many big name players in their pool and w/ KAT adding to the squad, I see DR will get 3-0 on their group, Italy will go 2-1 while Gilas will have slight advantage over Angola... Reports that Angola still struggling to collect their players for their training camp and w/ disappointing Afrocan result for Angola, Things are not looking good for them... Gilas will not advance though, DR and Italy are tough task.. But as Filipino, Hoping for miracle happens..

Serbia still on top despite some big names dropping out, While China, Puerto Rico and SSD will fighting for last spot for 2nd round... But my pick will go to SSD due to their height, length, talent and match up wise, they are in good position against vs PR and China... While i will pick Puerto Rico a slight advantage over China... Although i will not surprise if China upsets PR thou... China doing good in friendly matches so far, including a 2 pt loss vs Slovenia (w/o Doncic) 75-73..

He seems to have high BBIQ and makes the best out of his abilities. One thing I've learned is even the worst NBA player can be handful when playing in FIBA. It won't surprise me if Slowmo transform into an athletic freak playing against non NBA players

China looks legit. I doubt we will be able to keep in step against Slovenia like they did.

Remember of they change rules it applies to all, contrary to thought other nations would actually have a bigger advantage of tapping players who simply have a passport. Ireland for example has 80 % of their population overseas.

So while we will get stronger it isnt relarive to how much more stronger the others will get, the Hispanics in the US , Africans and European decent people would make a killing with more lenient rules.

SBP should seriously focus its budget on U16 and U18 for both boys and girls if we want to brag about Pilipinas Basketball as a whole if indeed it is true that their is no serious money allocated to our youth program don't expect we will get the attention the international basketball community the way our Filipinas Football team are doing right now. I am happy and proud that our Youth Development Program on Girls Football are slowly reaping some quality wins in age group category..Another gem of a find black beauty 14 yr. old Fil-Haiti Nina Mathelus and the rest of our U16 girls football team will be the future of Football Filipinas...almost 100+ girls are currently in the pipeline waiting to be included in the national team..I hope our Basketball program had the same structure but sadly it's all in the mind for now..just a dream.

Why are we spending so much in getting NPs even though we never won against Euro teams in official FIBA games? Because it would give us higher chance of winning against our Asian rivals at very the least? Because we want to improve? Should we just give up because we suck?

No. My question is on the system. Why hasn't Korea or Japan improve in their basketball while using Euro Plays. Would we have no improvements like they have if we use Euro plays.
