How about Jarret Allen of Cavs? Hoping for atleast one establish star to lead USA... I'm talking about Dame Lilliard, He needs this to atleast increase his achievement resume since his inclusion in 75 greatest players in the NBA has some doubts among all basketball fanatics... He can go ala Carmelo Anthony route, no NBA rings but multiple international medals... The team badly needs veteran guy (experienced international/FIBA campaigner) to guide young squad...

Jabari Smith is also another option but is more of a PF.

The absence of Mike Philips is headscratching. Believe it or not, I think that he is more fit for Chot's set up than both Erram and Junemar will ever be. The kid is 6'8 energetic and athletic bigman. He can rebound and defend as well. He also has a strong case for the FIBA exemption.

Well Koaume hasn't been cleared as a local either , and is unlikely to take the 1 NP slot , yet is in pool to provide size at center for practice at least , that's even if he's healthy, Philipps is healthy

Ange is tried and tested in non-SEA competitions. Being 6'11 also helps.

JC and JB are the top gunners for the NP spot. Ange is third choice. Don’t think they need a fourth choice. Personally, I’d include Mike Phillips as a practice player.

100% this. Super ubo was given a second chance but the PBA's top 2 ( who's better?) PG not even invited to the pool despite being available and willing? Remember he was lined up after he signed the 1 year contract but not even a mention of him when he's a free agent ( see the pattern?).

With Bolick, I think his game and JC's game is similar and I'm guessing Chot would rather have JC do iso than Bolick, who played that Pogoy role just sitting on the wing the last time he played for Gilas. He doesn't know how to use Bolick as a point the same way he doesn't know how to use anyone other than a retired Gabe Norwood defending the wing.

It's too early to say if all the games will end up in blowout losses with JC and Kai there, but I'm not confident for Gilas getting that Asian slot for the Olympics. I really don't see them winning a game in the group. Home advantage naman so we do the China thing of messing with our group opponent's bus and delaying their shoot-around.
