Kai, Japeth, June Mar, and JC will also be tapped for the World Cup.
I think June Mar's more useful as a practice body than as an NT player at this point, as he's a liability already. Hope AJ gets the nod over him.

Keep Philipps in the training pool! It's better to be practicing with an energy bunny like Mike than a slow Junmar LOL

Well, much better that they have more players in the pool... You can't trust all of the players' commitment for national team, Even Kai, JC are not yet 100% committed or if those players getting injured even in practice sessions... More bodies in the pool much better...

We could utilise him in the AG in case he’s classified as ineligible for FIBA tourneys.

China will use FIBA eligibility rules, That's for sure... So none of FIBA ineligibles can play for this year's Asiad...

OCA rules are to be followed. China cannot set its own rules.

Until an official wording is out, don’t make such assumptions.

You have a point but you know China already… they have no benefit if they use oca rules… host has always right to choose what eligibility rules they will implement… korea implemented fiba eligibility rules plus 3 year residency eligibility for naturalized players last 2014, that’s why blatche and Quincy davis of Taiwan didn’t make the cut to play there… so you know the answer already… and they are defending champs.. they will go and take whatever advantage they have…

They (China) will need to add the No Australians Allowed rule to FIBAs rules if they wanna chance to win.

                      • One rule that is not realistically implemtable by the Asian games committee, is verification of ancestor lineage.
all dual citizens with Asian citizenship being the 2nd acquird are all technically naturalized players . Of course if Asian 1 was acquired before 16 , we can use FIBA hagop rule to classify as local.
residency rule can be implemented though

                        • Brownlee the saviour. Single-handedly carried gilas to the finals. If they figure out a good gameplan maybe they can neat Cambodia next time round.

They gotta lessen those 50-50 balls going Cambolifornia's way. It's what killed them in the early goings of their first meeting.

JB32 has more heart than those scumbags who bailed from the tournament.

Fuck those bitches. CStan and JB32 are more pinoy than us.

And his PBA shooting has worked out so well in the past in FIBA, save for a few good games. Sure, he had a good window, but come on, there are better, more consistent, and/or younger options. We can't take the risk of him shooting bricks and getting driven past on defense.

I have Dwight, Parks, Marcio, Heading, Schonny, Thirdy, and Abando at 2. Even Perez is above Pogoy.
