Among the so-called basketball hotbet in Europe I highly recommend Lithuania, Serbia, Greece and Spain in pecking order as the most ideal place if ever the SBP decided to setup a training camp in preparation for the coming WC. That is why on the topic who will be the ideal country to host the next cycle, I also on the side of Lithuania a beautiful country with lots of scenic views, a nice weather and a legions of basketball loving people. No wonder JGDL had a blast playing for BC Wolves at the highly competitive Lithuania Basketball League.

Basketball popularity: Check
Good venues: Check
Social media platforms: Check
Team strength: Check
Time discrepancy: Check (Western side of globe can watch the event early evening or late afternoon, while eastern side of globe can watch late evening or early midnight)..
Their only problem is market, Since their population is only 3 million people, But that is not a problem anymore due to social media preference... It's easy to spread the event thru social media videos/highlights even in the heavily market countries likes China, US, Australia, etc..... If FIFA picks Qatar as host that has only 2 million inhabitants (most of people are workers, only atleast 300k are locals)... Then why not FIBA picking Lithuania that has proven a basketball hotbed in Europe....

speaking of Lithuania , my Gilas foreign camp organizer colleague is lithuanian , he is now the President of the FIFA Lithuanian federation, have had many discussion with him on Lithuania hosting , when he was in Manila ( visitor ) i asked him how he found the host FIBA accommodations, to my surprise, he said it's bad compared to what they can do in Lithuania ( both in terms of price, and value for money , " the 5 star hotels in Manila are overpriced and you can get deals at half the price in Lithuania of the same standard if not better .. as far as visitors to Lithuania , it's not an issue as logistically European countries are at a significant advantage , with neighboring countries so accessible to travel to and from ( it's no surprise that the MOST visited countries in the world are based in Europe)
BTW i watched a US women's soccer game last week in Wellington , it was packed with American visitors. (80 % of the crowd were Americans and visitors ) just goes to show you the model is very different for these countries compared to the Philippines mostly local crowd ( Philippine arena)

You mean Fil Euro players ? Problem with Lithuania is they have a small or no Filipino community.
Italy and Spain would be good. I worked with an Italian pro team previously, they might know , plus of course NBTC Europe is Italy based with Dalph and Gomez came from

Oh, Italy. Maybe have someone feed our talented homegrowns there. Depends on the SBP's priorities, though, if they give a crap about developing players. Might need willing sponsors, which are also hard to find.
Thanks!

A model I would love to see is a big Pinoy businesses invest ownership in a foreign league team, like in the NBL or Sacramento Kings , then leverage their ownership to put Pinoys
My wild dream is to buy ownership in an NBL team, no harm in dreaming
