SIR Analyzed, how about your prospect, the 6-9 Laput from Down Under, I think hebis graduate by now..Any inside info on his possible Gilas pool tryout.?
I would love to see this Gilas 2023 cadet pool in this year's Jones Cup. Problem is, most of the members won't be available since collegiate basketball season of the UAAP & NCAA would be in full swing by that time.
That would only leave Ricci Rivero, JJ Alejandro, Abu Tratter, Kobe Paras & perhaps Troy Rike as among the members Gilas 2023 cadet pool that would be available for the 2018 Jones Cup.
Since Dwight Ramos has already went out of California State-Fullerton & is not committed to any school, maybe SBP should invite him to play for Gilas 2023 cadet team in the 2018 Jones Cup.
Worst case would be Rivero, Alejandro, Tratter, Paras , Rike plus HS players Sotto, Tamayo, Cortez since UAAP HS season starts in Dec reinforced by Gilas Seniors team members from eliminated team from the PBA and maybe Naturalized player trialist Isaac Austin. Maybe some of the schools maybe generous enough to release their player even if the season is ongoing.

Lets not even consider/think about it. Ma frustrate lang tayo.
The more feasible scenario, as U mentioned, is having Gilas players (current PBA rookies) from eliminated teams in the PBA 2nd conference reinforcing the team.

Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

I've done coaching at high school varsity level, there just somethings you know you're not good at, and I think coaching is one of them, I'm not really a good coach, I can potentially be an assistant, but head coach , really no. it takes a certain personality to be a head coach. I know my strengths and weaknesses and really more inclinded in developing programs.
