BTW, this is my 3rd post and 3rd thread and no one's welcoming nor responded to my questions
This forum isn’t as active as it used to be when the old regulars were still here. Doesn’t help that there are no Gilas matches. Will change in Feb but it’ll be dead again till August.

ok if that's already the planned(?) idea then so be it.

Some of them sort of retired. Some got banned but are probably still here using alternicks.

If backreading old forums posts happens to be your thing, you may search for the 2019 FIBA World Cup thread to see a glimpse of what it's like for this Phils sub during major FIBA events. It was wild with the old regulars and their posts.

They got fed up with the SBP’s bullshit.

I’m also headed in that direction but I’m relatively new so I’ll try stick around till the 2027 WC.

My current sig is all you need to know about this part of the forum during the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

The guy who said that Gilas was not a quality team? He's coaching China starting this year.

I'll probably stick around until this year's World Cup, who knows the next admins of the SBP would bring us back to the Dark Ages of the 1990s considering it's Chualay and his friends from BCAP.

From the last window, we need a PG to replace Pogoy, whether Kiefer, Bolick, maybe Jerom if he performs well, or Schonny.

Erram over Carl and Balti? Jesus Christ. If we're going by merit, Carl and Balti have outperformed Erram in FIBA, and have more upside. Anyone with half a brain will see that.

We all know that... But would you want those two as 11th or 12th man than Erram? 11th and 12th man are basically bench warmers... Erram can accept being 12th man while i don't know about the two... No one bats an eye if Erram will be benched anytime while for sure Filipinos will criticized the coaching staff if Tamayo and Baltazar will be benched... Before when the FIBA format was centralized, having young players putting in the final line up is necessary because FIBA tournaments are less than it was now... Today, It's ok those young players will be not pick in the final line up in the biggest events because the next FIBA tourney will be months away and those guys will be have opportunity to represent unlike before it was limited... The next FIBA tourney after WC (aside Asian games) is in November for FIBA Asia cup window 1 qualifiers... Those two will have that opportunity to represent and not being a bench warmer since most of the PRO leagues are not available during November and February windows... This is my view because we all know who are the coaching staff of Philippines..

I have Heading, Thirdy, Parks, Dwight, and Perez ahead of him for the moment. Maybe if two or more of them become unavailable.

Dwight, Parks, Perez, and our NP JC.

Probably our Best Swings Rotation since the start of Gilas program.

                          • My Take…6’3 Schonny Winston, 6’5 Gabe Norwood, 6’4 JC, 6’4 Dwight, 6’4 BRP, 6’2 Perez and 6’2 Heading, 6’2 Newsome, 6’1 Scottie or 6’4 Ken Tuffin(toss-up) manning our 1 and 2 position at WC 2023...sometimes 6'7 Jaime may slide to number 2 and 3 position.

                            • I fear Dwight is becoming injury prone. Remember he was not very good in college and suddenly exploded in Gilas. Not an accurate 3 pt shooter nor crafty with his dribble. He is reliant on his strength and explosiveness. It might be why he is having hamstring issues.

He's also playing heavy minutes and being tasked to do everything even playing the bigman position and defending the other teams best player kinda like Norwood. But Norwood has a habit and luxury of pacing in the PBA.. Dwight has to play like an import because he is one
