Prigioni: “As long as I am in the national team, that is not going to happen. There won’t even be a member of the coaching staff from another country. When I am not here, they can decide on their own.”

My most vivid memory of Prigioni was when he was with the Knicks, and Cavs rookie PG Kyrie Irving was embarrassing him with his deft dribbles and even defter shots every single possession, until Pablo was subbed out. Poor PP

I thin he's already 37-38 at that time, lol, he has no chance against Irving
No naturalized is good as long as fiba allows players to a national team with ample residency and those with bloodlines/heritage. JC and ange wont be considered naturalized players
In this Lorenzo Brown case, someone with zero roots/experience in a country, I agree. Its nonsense but then again thats FIBA for you.
Sobra naman kasi yun, naturalized palyers is intended to the Ricardo ratliffes brownlee and Kouame...thus guys wouldnt play for their mother nt's but ahs deep connection to that country that was able them to continue their career as basketball player..
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

Yep. Recent WNBA champion coach for the LV Aces, and ex Spurs asst coach Becky Hammon once played for the Russian NT. Well at least she has played and starred in the Russian League in between WNBA seasons before she was naturalized
Any of you know how FIBA is planning to handle the seeding of Philipines and Japan for the 2023 World Cup?
Recall China was given the #1 seed overall at the 2019 WC but that was the first time FIBA ever gave the host country the #1 overall seed - and may have been a 1 time thing. My guess was that China paid a hefty price to secure that #1 seed, however this how FIFA handles the host seeding so perhaps it was a permenent change?
Would they give Philipines and Japan the #1 and #2 seed over all? Neither? Or just the Philipines?
im too worried about the logistics and planning for the Philippine Arena, Atleast MOA and Araneta are accessible with a lot of malls, hotels and other ammenities nearby, while Phil Arena has Jed's resort, a slew of Malolos based resorts and Funnside Ningnangan (good food btw) as nearby amenities. (plus SM Marilao, Robinsons Malolos pa pala)
LGUs (QC,Pasay and Bulacan) should be part of the planning process as well.
Funny thing, SBP has already spent 1.2 billion to this point, MPIC will go broke with this increasing cost no wonder they tapped SMC/Long Hair. Well, with the 3+ billion pricetag, we might see a SBP-Mascarinas reconciliation so that Chooks can chip in as well.
lesson learned, hosting international events of these magnitude is financially draining with little to no immediate ROI. @ Sikatrix, yes might as well enjoy it as this could be the last time for a long while that we play in the world stage
