well, d employees of smart-pldt, metro pacific, meralco, and other sponsoring companies will benefit with their free tickets.

i hope d pba can have a months-long promo (raffle) for winners for tournament-wide and/or gilas games-tickets for those watching live (may improve pba gate attendance) and tv audience (may improve tv ratings).

sbp can do d same for those who will watch gilas qualifiers window games at home.

other sponsoring companies can do d same.

    • Clarkson as a local is a welcome addition
but then again as CTB metioned , basketball is a team sport

with coach cry baby reyes at helm the same shitty result is awaiting them
imagine being called out by fiba commentators by focusing too much on offense but not on stops?
We can have no progress without change, whether it be basketball or anything else

chot sure is d biggest disappointment for 2022 gilas.

its not about d losses. its about d inefficient system and flawed player management. more importantly, his poor in-game adjustment.

        • Found the time to listen to CTC interview with Quinito. Apparently Gilas has a 6 week commitment from Clarkson. Basically the same as Spo's commitment to Team USA.

Nice one, Ahanmisi is a good change of pace from the size of our current PGs

Even better, all of them are available as their teams have already been eliminated.

newsome should take that big pg role. and he's a good 2-way player while still being able to make plays for his teammates. a legit pg.

Yes bro I'm actually intrigued with Mav Ahanmisi. 6'2 built like a rock, can handle the ball and run the offense, and is no slouch on the outside.

If guys like Perez and Clarkson will be our 2's we just need a non dominant ball handling defensive PG to compliment them. Did not expect this one.

Hopefully Mav stays healthy, maganda ibato to pang bantay sa Webster bros, Guo, Arakji, El Darwich.

As for Newsome, idk, I think he is a bigger scottie thompson, in a way undersize sa position? 6'1 but SF? Who would you guys pick between him and Thirdy?

For Adams, we already have Malonzo and Navarro, but it won't be bad for depth purposes

                    • What really excites me about Mav is his D1 pedigree means a familiarity vs superior competition as well as willingness to be a role player off the bench.

                      • Great job by SBP of fast tracking the eligibility of Ahanmisi, Adams and Newsome.

We have now more players to select from with over a year left before the World Cup 2023.

Ahanmisi will have to compete with the likes of Kiefer and Bolick. Newsome will have to compete with Parks, Thirdy, Dwight and CJ Perez

Are these all confirmed? because Enzo Flojo is singing a different tune on Jayden Harper's case

Jayden Harper has yet to established his residency here. Newsome does. Maverick probably used his birth certificate to prove that he is really a Filipino per eligibility rule while is a PH passport at 9 y/o. Gutang also established his residency here as well since he studied and played for CSB and currently playing in MPBL.

Newsome plays pg for meralco. Especially when amer was traded for belo.

Black is more of a ball handling sg.
