[Serious] Are any of you still buying tickets for Gilas games during the WC?

I sure as hell don’t. Would rather spend that money to watch TEAM USA, Baloncesto España, and Les Bleus.

isn't there a Philstar article (Quinito?) saying that PBA governors are all in agreement to hold only 2 conferences next season to give CCR his 3 months prep for WC.

having said that, it means the full support of PBA will be there. So why do we need to give the current players a learning experience if they wont be used for WC anyway? to be better for other windows? to be better when they will be drafted to the PBA?

Doubtful that's a genuine push for 2027, the SBP does not think that far, and historically roster continuity in the Philippines is just a pipe dream. (Hasn't really happened even coaching continuity is none existing)


If we could give up our hosting rights , I think in the bigger scheme of things that would be better it's excessive use of funds when you have a national team program as.poorly run as Gilas.

Now for the overseas world cup spectator if you can get cheaper tickets in Indonesia, might as well watch there than in Manila. , which is over price..

i wouldnt go that far, but thats just me. if you got money, go to RP, go there and watch and have a holiday somewhere afterwards. that generates work for locals. if we are not good in bball might as well generate work for those in tourism sector.

I feel like their choice for our NP this WC 2023 ultimately relies on AJ Edu's health. If AJ really has healed 100%, then I'm confident they'll choose JC. Otherwise, they'll probably find a more dominant, ala blatche bigman NP this WC 2023.

Coming off an injury, AJ Edu’s name is slowly being peeled off the World Cup pool.

US NCAA training camp starts in August to September 2022. The season starts in November 2022 and ends in March 2023. Schools in the US ends around June 2023.

Scheduling for Edu to be included into the WC pool will be difficult. When can you insert him for Gilas duties to integrate himself to the team? It’s practically difficult considering the World Cup is slated on August 2023.
