    • I have a very strong feeling that Ricci Rivero was indeed been allowed by La Salle to join Gilas.

Na pressure din siguro yung La Salle basketball community. Besides, UAAP basketball season & the pre-season tournament aren't a whole-year-round affairs. Plus, the 2023 FIBA World Cup is still light years away. Matagal pa naman yun so Ricci's stint, scrimmages, practices & tournament games with Gilas wouldn't be that hectic for now or any sooner.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

      • Right, little risk there. Let him practice with a good selection of players, and when the time to play for international glory comes, come up with an excuse for him to stay home.

you gotta admire the kids desire though. and practicing with the senior team would only hone his skills.

Height wise, 1990 under 19 team of 7-0 Feihl, 6-9 Aquino, Giovanni Pineda,6-7, Zandro Limpot 6-6 can match that team.

No love for Ethan Kirkness ?

Who has better upside though, Kirkness or Gio Chui. if we can develop them to 6-11 and 6-9 version of Ateneo's Go, i would already be happy.

Feihl and Pineda are stiffs. Limpot is soft and slow. Aquino is the only viable "big" in that line-up.

We lost track of the guy. I don't think he is keeping tabs with SBP. From what I know he is a kid that you have to focus on so he can develop. Can he develop without the intervention of SBP? I don't know.

Raven cortez is a tall point forward type of player like Kevin Durant and Antonio Davis type while tamayo is more on power/finesse type, ala ranidel

Pineda is quite mobile, although reed thin. In fact he is one of the early stretch four.

Anyway, I mentioned in my previous post, height wise, the 90's boys can approximate the GGG boys. Hope GGG kids develops as expected of them , as Limpot and Aquino had quite an All Star caliber PBA careers themselves. Still too early to say if the Tamayo's , Chui's and Cortez can match those careers.

I don't think Feihl was part of that team. Although 6'4 Wilmer Ong, 6'4 Peter Naron and 6'2 Noli Locsin were members of that team. BTW, that tournament was held in Nagoya, Japan in 1991. Feihl was part of the 1989 edition with 6'7 Danny Francisco.

"That's why he came here," he added.

Much better for archer to offer baltazar and pangalanan to gilas even just a practice player, balti is not just tall, he is also quick, he can develop as a wing player while for pangalanan, this is the best opportunity for him to develop and improve
