Clarkson over Kouame for me. Kouame can be easily replaced by Junmar or Japhet while we don't have anybody near JC's talent.

I will not pick Junemar with conviction. He is slow asf in defense. Why would you want that?

true, all the political capital used to naturalize him will go down the drain due to Chot's insistence of using ddo, we could only hope that FIBA grants clarkson or ange the clearance to play as a local

Hehe, in short, we can't have DDO as our primary offense since it is not the system that can utilize or maximize our overall talent. Chot is Chot. Either catch won't matter to him. I could literally imagine him playing the small ball DDO scenario that I put above. Sadly, I honestly can't imagine Balty or Tamayo making the final 12. They just can't be maximized under DDO. Like Navarro and Kouame, they will be not effective under him too imo.

Balty and Tamayo had plays called for them. If they're relegated to stretch fours, well, hope they can find a rhythm because that's how they're gonna be used in a Chot offense.

First things first Chot has to identify players for the pool for the World Cup. An ideal number would be a pool of 20-25 players. Players who are willing and available.

I am confident Baltazar will make the lineup of Gilas 2023.
Tamayo is the one who is not 100% sure. He will need to fight for spots against pba players. And Coach Chot may favor Japeth and Troy over Carl. Though, I would prefer Carl.

I agree with 1 poster here. I will pick Heading/Tuffin to be the shooters in the pool instead of Pogoy/Wright. But again coach chot may favor the pba guys.

Kai and AJ are locks. Even Coach chot is indirectly saying that. So I dont think Pba Centers will even threaten their spots.

As for Point Guards. Kiefer and Bolick would be the most logical choice imo.

And for Swings, Dwight and Thirdy showing their case. Oftana and Perez will be the pba players competing in that spot.

i like AJ, but he is coming from injury. i'd like him in the pool if available, but i wouldnt lock him just yet.

Wouldn't matter whether the remaining 8 would be FIBA-fit. And most of the FIBA-fit PBA players we have are or would be over 30 by 2023.

I really think Pba is still treating Kiefer as a pba player. Not sure with Parks.
