    Yes.

With Lassiter, you got a two-way player - can play offense & defense & is an experienced international basketball campaigner with Gilas-1. Though matagal na yun.

Wright may have some downside & weakness but he is good team player which may fit in with coach Tab's system. Maybe Tab can utilize Wright better than coach Chot & coach Yeng did.

    • I would not replace a Gilas bench role player like Geo with a PBA star like Junmar, it's bad for chemistry..
Now assuming Lassiter can commit to like 3 months and is healthy then yes he replacing the role Heading plays is feasible.
This is of course all hypothetical, cause we're assuming these PBA player will be available to commit 3 months which is unlikely.
Additionally this need is all unnecessary if AJ (a big) ot Clarkson (a shooter) is available

BTW Kiefer commiting 2 months is feasible so that's different

Personally, I think so. Baltazar is more versatile defensively. Erram and Almazan, can they guard the perimeter? Baltazar at least showed flashes.

Maybe if Erram and Almazan were given Baltazar's training as combo forward, this might have been a discussion.

        • My 2023 Final 12 assuming all stars aligned, and all players available at the right time

BIGS: Kai, AJ, Kouame ( if Local)

          COMBO FORWARDS: Tamayo, Baltazar

SWINGS: Clarkson, Dwight, Tuffin, Parks, Wright

          GUARDS: Kiefer, Juan

If No Pba Players. Maybe I will go:

BIGS: KAI, AJ, Kouame (if local)

          COMBO FORWARDS: Tamayo, Baltazar, Quiambao

          SWINGS:. Clarkson, Dwight, Tuffin, Thirdy

          GUARDS: Juan, Dalph

I say both Almazan & Erram lack the handles & the laterals to play as a 3.

            • " I am sure that even in the Philippines when you are ready to make any change within your local rules, we take into consideration what is good for basketball in the Philippines. The same approach you will see in Fiba.” - HAGOP

" We are open for change of rules if the proposal or logic presented can help in developing basketball worldwide,” Khajirian said Saturday on Noli Eala’s Power and Play.

I honestly dont know what to expect from Hagop now.

But atleast he appreciate our hosting in 3rd window.

Yung importante kasi is the availability of the PBA reinforcements on a "consistent" basis. Baka kasi available sila for a particular tournament or window but won't be availabe for the next window or tournament.
The only position that I'd upgrade is PG. So it's Kiefer for me and Bolick if he's healthy and available. I've soured on Perez maybe it's because he's with SMB now and he sucked during the 3x3 event and we got loads of wings now.

From too many good PGs in the 2000s and 2010s to lacking any good PGs in 2020. Gilas Pilipinas in a nutshell.

                  • im okay with our current PG. the only different before is that for our offense we are overly reliant on our PG and we tent to patronize flair's over our guards. in tab's system, its not about the guards anymore its more of a team game.

                    • The problem with coach Tab & PBA people is that they have a contrasting view in terms of national team formation.

PBA puts too much emphasis on talent while not putting enough importance on quality of preparation & cohesion/chemistry. Coach Tab's view is the complete reversed.

Well, its obvious naman which view is the flawed one.

With Dalph going to a Div1 school,I think the PG position is in good hands, there's at least 6 quality guys who can play the position.

PBA thinks like they're the NBA who puts up a national team like putting up an All-Star team. Akala ata nila 10 days training lang pwede na.

US can't even win anymore with that strategy.
