    • The pace of improvement of the Gilas team seem to be at a favorable rate. If we battled Korea last year even with our PBA players, we would have probably lost

I'm excited to see the rate of improvement come the Asia Cup

Semifinals lang (and bronze medal game), happy na ako diyan. I hope we get there. Actually, I think we have the talent to get to that point. I'm kinda optimistic.

            • Since SBP is pushing for the idea of reinforcing Gilas with PBA players in the 2023 FIBA World Cup & coach Tab has no choice but to accept it, I'm thinking that it would be logical that PBA players reinforce the Gilas team in the upcoming 2021 FIBA Asia Cup in August as well. Its better that those PBA players starts to train & immerse themselves to coach Tab's system as early as now.

But as I've mentioned in my previous posts, I feel no more than 3 PBA players should reinforce Gilas. I'm thinking of shoring up the point guard & shooting guard spots - spots that I think current Gilas needs some boost. I see Kiefer, Pogoy & Matthew Wright as perfect reinforcements for Gilas.

Also that these 3 PBA reinforcements must be available for Gilas training during the PBA off-season so that prior to the 2023 FIBA World Cup, these PBA players would ready be very familiar & are used to playing under coach Tab's system & would be able to establish chemistry with their amateur Gilas teammates.

              • The PBA players that should be on Gilas are the ones who have no ifs and buts when they were called - Kiefer, Perez, and maybe Bolick

If you have the chance to replace 2 Gilas players with PBA players, would you replace

                  1) Chiu and Go with a Fajargo and Aguilar

                  or

                  2) SJ/ RJ or Nieto with a Kiefer, Perez and maybe Bollick?

or would you replace all of them with these PBA players?

Assume they are given about 2 months training

                  • ANother question, if given 2 months of training with the team, would you choose Rosario over Navarro?

Eh, I don't think 2 months of training is enough for Japeth and Junmar to understand the Gilas system. Both are not known for their basketball IQs

                      • Another question --- would you now consider Balti more valuable than Almazan or Erram? assume that all of them will be given 2 months training

Two or three is maximum , thats it of PBA wants to join to be relevant. PBA is slowly dying due to lack of innovation, fake farm teams and SMC rule.

Hell no. Navarro is more used to the 3, and a better defender, and given the lack of contribution from Rosario on offense (which is his only asset, by the way), might as well pick the one who doesn't become a liability once he becomes a non-factor on offense.

I like Bolick, I like Perez. But Perez is with the evil empire while Bolick is with the evil empire's bitch.

Yung importante kasi is the availability of the PBA reinforcements on a "consistent" basis. Baka kasi available sila for a particular tournament or window but won't be availabe for the next window or tournament.
