I think among the teams, those who have very good chances of coming out of podium finish are Australia, China, Iran (if Hadadi & Bahrami are playing), New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Philippines (of course its a bit biased) & perhaps Lebanon.

agree, i dont see why people are still high on kobe. i think its time to accept that all the hype was undeserved. sure he could dunk, but way too many holes in his game. Im sure tamayo will have a better shot at the 3 for 2023. Dwight, Wright, parks and marcio will be the regular wings, and the frontline of kai, aj, ange, junemar and japeth. you can plug in any pg and we'll still be the biggest team on the floor with any lineup combination.

Assuming Kai and Edu were available and Clarkson gets exemption as a local and Kouame not yet come 2023, with the way Ron Harper Jr is performing right now who would you chose between Harper Jr. and Kouame as NP? Lets say SBP is considering Harper Jr as early as now and he is also willing to play for Gilas.

One advantage we have in the 2023 FIBA World Cup qualifiers is that since we are automatically qualified in the tournament proper being one of the hosts, we don't really need to win every game. Walang pressure to win. With this, we can focus more on development than winning. Of course not to say pabayaan nalang natin mapagtatalo tayo. Of course we have to protect our pride & reputation naman as among Asia's elite.

My take is for every window, SBP should borrrow only a token number of PBA players to reinforce the cadets. Say 2 or 3 PBA players lang hiramin natin in every window, the rest of players natin eh cadets na.

In considering PBA players to be borrowed, we have to consider their veteran presence and ability to mentor the cadets. That will be a big boost to the development of our young guys, may accelerate it. They'll learn how to improve faster, and how to win as well.

Gilas System Always Beat Japan. And that is different Gilas Systems by different Coaches.

What age did Harper got his Fil passport? Is it at 17 years old? Why did we not pursue to get his exemption in batang gilas just like Spencer?

Agree with you but it’s the pre-requisite for fiba wc 2023.
