    6'5 Enzo Schatzel

thats why we need these ineligibles:

    Sage Tolentino 7'1
    Jayden Harper 6'8
    Caelum Harris 6'6
    Vyctorius Miller 6'6
    Malik Olafioye 6'2

Vyctorius Miller is 14 so obviously not yet ineligible, I would advice anyone not to harass him about it though

      • Analytics (Shot Selection)

Nowadays, basketball is run by analytics. There is one stat that what we called " Expected Points per possession". I will list it from most efficient to least efficient

        1. Cut - Obviously, this is always a free and easy shot at the rim.

2.Transition - or what we call fastbreak. Usually it is an open shot, or you have more numbers than the opponent.

3.Roll Man - The Big guy rolling in a pick and roll. Obviously, this is always a mismatch advantage as Small man will rotate to the big man.

        4. Spot Up Shooter - Staying and waiting at the corners usually for a free three point shot.

        5. OFF Screen - Shot coming from a screen.

        6. Isolation - 1 on 1 moves ala Terrence Romeo or Kyrie Irving.

        7. Handoff - Shot Coming from a handoff usually from a big or screener.

        8. Post up - Yes, this is how inefficient Post up if we will based it in analytics.

It also shows that Postup and Midrange are the most inefficient shots. And Shots at the rim(Obviously) and three point shots in more efficient.

So, how do we apply these???

Do we need to abandon postup and midrange game????

Of course not. Kai and Aj strengths are in the post and midrange actually.

We need to surround them with shooters and slashers. That way, Kai's passing will be maximize

And of course play good defense. You must also notice that we must not give up Cuts and Transition, and Shots at the rim that easily. As those are the most easiest shots (Using analytics)

The once-essential ability to both score and defend around the hoop has been replaced by positional versatility on defense and shooting and passing on offense. Those that can’t take their game to the perimeter are getting pushed aside in favor of a new breed of NBA centers.

To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

And based on that you see why the priority on versatility, speed and length from the 1, 2, 3, 4 position. , space and pace, how do you get pts of cuts, transition, open catch and shoot 3s, rolls and pops? It's best with versatile players who are mobile can drive face up, pop, roll, shoot of the catch and attack close outs.

The post up is best used not to score but to be in position to be a passer, hand offs, cuts, pass of post help to shooters.

Essentially load up with wings with length (even if theyre not one on one scorers) but can defend in and out.
Of course premise is you have a legit big
As you will notice the best shots listed are off passes, so it shows how critical it is to have multiple playmakers and passers, the more players in the team who are good passers and can make passing plays the better.
Gone is mano o mano match up or heavy post up iso basketball.
The key is not to have 5 individual players per 5 boxed in position matching up in height
but to form a 5 decently size and mobile players that collectively work together adept with playing with or without the ball and can play multiple positions.

I think it was utilized by Gilas in 2014 WC. Remeber the second dunk of norwood in Argentina game, that came of fake hand off pass. Actually handoff is one of the stable play of Yeng Guiao in his team.

I think he has the same opportunity as Cholo Annonuevo, he needs to be on a very good program that would focus on player development, that will develop on both his skills and physical abilities.

He is a Very Tall PG

Agree, but he’s playing a lot more wing lately. He has outgrown the position (heft wise, perhaps lost a bit of speed required for the position or simply coaches’ decision). Same thing with Dwight who played some PG in HS.

This is what’s ideal training wise. You start as a PG and no matter how tall you get or what position you end up, you are fundamentally sound because you have PG skills.
Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

                              • [QUOTE=analyzed;1376573]With bigs Kouame, Kai and AJ

And heaps of swings and wings of 6'5 ish size (easily can find 6). Include Parks
we’re basically legit size world level[/B][/B][/QUO]TE

Not if you put Paras at 4. It might come into handy if you have another big, a 6'9 ish to complement the big 3 (Kai, Edu and Kouame). We should learn a lesson or 2 from the U19 World cup when Edu went down. That left only Kai, Chiu and Tamayo rotating as bigs. That spelled doom for the team.
