I think our probable final roster would be wing heavy. Logical thing to do as we have a sudden abundance on the position, and it came in opportune time as far as modern basketball is concerned. Perhaps a composition of 4 bigs 6 wings and 2 PGs would do. With Dwight, Dave and Calvin capable secondary playmakers/ballhandlers, we can afford to have a plethora of them in lieu of a 3rd PG. 5th big would be Kobe. I think that’s a feasible roster makeup.Never look too far ahead. You might stumble on a block right in front of you.

Originally posted by robert0326As of now, only 4 teams in the PBA using positionless basketball.. TNT (w/ Parks is their jack of all trades), Ginebra (tall in every position by PBA standards), Phoenix (small in center position but wing oriented squad) and ROS (many players can play multiple position).. Hoping other teams will follow.. Surprisingly SMB, Magnolia and Alaska are still using old school basketball..
SMB doesn't have enough tools for a positionless system this tournament. They have five guards, Arwind, Mo, and Escoto in the rotation. Leaving MGR out of the lineup is really a boneheaded move.
Same with Alaska, not enough tools for a positionless system. Not much in the 3-spot aside from Jeron, Racal (who is out), and Herndon. Eboña looks like he can reasonably defend the perimeter, guarding Gabe and Arwind. Alaska just needs a good-sized wing to push Jeron, Racal, and Herndon to the 2-spot at times.
On the other hand, Magnolia does have the tools for positionless basketball in Corpuz, Rome, Calisaan, and Dionisio, which is why it boggles my mind that Victolero keeps using his 3-guard lineups.
Actually, Northport has a team that can go positionless, as they have 6'5" Ferrer, 6'5" Manganti, and 6'4" Anthony. It's just that Pido still uses more of a 3-guard lineup or a two-big lineup.
TerraFirma has 6'5" Cahilig, 6'5" Adams, and 6'4" Khobuntin. Art dela Cruz Sr. could better use their talents than Cardel has used them. Under Art, Adams got in rhythm, albeit for one game.

It should be wing heavy actually. I think our abundance is in the wings now, and not in the guards anymore. I see more wing prospects than guard prospects. Wings looks like is where our talents is.
Bigs is a lock already. Kai, Aj, JMF, and maybe another one.
