for swingmen we have ramos, parks, oftana, t ravena, clarkson as options. for cadets we have ildefonso, lopez, amsali, etc

To be fair with parks, we can't compare his local MVP to the likes of avenido. Parks was putting on world import numbers while being matched up (most of the times) against World imports. Whilr the other clubs had 3 world imports, Alab only had 2 and both were big men so, in essence, his role and responsibility out there was that of a world import

Yes and I could say he was pretty much the third import on that team. He also came from Summer League where the competition is that of a few NBA starters, Bench, and world imports. Same with G League where he played against PBA level imports. But yeah I think he declined cause of the contract negotiation with TNT at that time. Also some sort of protest to Gilas to do more just in case players do get injured.

Because like Paras, Parks also have the abilty to dominate the Pba. But Parks and Paras are lacking something.

Lacks quickness, explosiveness to finish at the basket. Just compare pogoy to parks when they drive to the basket. Very natural and strong ang pagdrive ni Pogoy while Parks just looks soft and parang parating matutumba driving to the basket. Also takes off very low.

Maybe people just expected more from him like the ability to be a go to guy for Gilas like Jayson Castro. But if we are tempering our expectations that he can help as a utility player ala Norwood then the better. Because if ever he gets in again for Baldwin, that would most likely be his role again.

Yes, that's why now that we know what kind of player Ray Parks is. He is mostly a utility guy, there is no harm there as he can still be a useful player for us.

But like I said now that we know what he is we should temper our expectations already. He wont be the guy we can give the ball and just get out of the way and score. That responsibility will fall to CJ Perez or Jordan Clarkson. Parks would be a Norwood/Ganuelas type. Guard defender who can occassionally set plays and hit some threes but not as a go to scorer.

If Ray Parks Jr. do not want to Play for Gilas, be it. I will be willing to replace him with a Sharpshooter.

I am not buying that handler/bosses ordering him to nit play, as an excuse.

Nasa player yan, Pingris was threatened by SMC but his heart and passion still chose to play for gilas.

No matter how talented a player is, if he do not want to play for NT, then we can move on from him. We have a lot of talents, sya nag nagsayang ng exposure/opportunity

Well, if that happens, it is very good for Gilas.

Parks will show why he is a legit NBA prospect once. That will be a dream came true for us.

Even Terrence Jones have said that Parks has the skills to play in NBA.

Parks and Paras, maybe in the future, THEY can prove us all wrong. MAYBE.

If Parks and Paras can reach their potential, they can complement Kai and Aj. We just need a good guard which we have many candidates
