problem with having a lot of prospects is that there are only a few teams in the PBA so some bright prospects end up benched. PBA should expand so more players get to develop.

Why is Chris Koon not as highly touted (to be given exemption as a local) compared to the QMB, Philipps and Luceros?
Im pretty confident on the eligibility and exemptions of QMB and Mike Philipps. While Koon gives Gilas a Dwight Ramos 2.0. And i think he's a much better ballhandler and taller than Dwight. Does he have issues? attitude etc?

he gets to Ginebra then maybe CTC could tap on that potential

Koon is still a rare 6'5-ish player who can handle the ball, shoot and defend (that all important modern 3 and D). During their last championship run, he was routinely used as the primary perimeter stopper. He also showed his athleticism when he posterized vs DLSU. I think him playing with a broken foot one season and then lack of bigs on his last season robbed him of a chance to perform better.

Defense must be emphasized in as many of our young wings as possible.

to unleash that fire in the belly..that assertiveness in his character
I think Chris Koon should be drafted by either CYG of ROS or CCR of TNT
those two former Gilas coaches are known for their motivation.
a lefty 6'5 or a shade of 6'6 PG with a velvety form ala Richie Ticzon and Jordan Heading is a rarity in Philippine basketball.
surely getting an exemption moving forward is beneficial to the Gilas program
and it is inevitable.

As for big kids who start late, probably depends on their mobility and size.
