Better for that to happen than for the current status quo to perpetuate for God-knows-how-long. Perhaps it would make the owners of those sucky teams to rethink their business strategies and pull-out for good, and maybe just maybe, invest in other sports that we're good at but badly need solid backing and funding. PBA or Pinoy basketball fans in general don't deserve absolutely bad, tanking teams that have no business competing at the PH's top-tier pro basketball league.

You're right but they suppose to be here for basketball reasons not to make business out of other teams. Hope it will attract others who are capable to atleast toe to toe. Like college patrons got attracted to be main supports of teams as they see how MVP supported Ateneo and San Beda. Now with Sy of SM to NU, Al Chua to UST and Letran.

I'd rather see the big teams test themselves more in the EASL if the detrimental practices (farm teams, trading of no. 1 overall picks for "a bag of peanuts", etc.) are to persist, and also since PBA is currently active there.
I think we can look at what other leagues do like i mention about Euro and Japan leagues. It just to big of difference on budget from SMC/MVP to Terra firma. Terrafirma can't pay the way SMC pays which players do deserve to be paid or they will leave for other leagues. So people will not have such an expectation on parity.

some farm team asked to trade for Nambatac and the return was hilarious. if ROS agrees, theres probably some deeper $#!t happening.
