Sometimes, I can't help but think that maybe the opening of Japan's B-league teams to Filipino cagers is fate's way of balancing the ridiculously imbalance competition in the PBA. I just hope that PBA players like CJ Perez, Bolick (this guy is SMC-bound anyway if he stays in the PBA so its better if he goes to Japan), Japeth Aguilar, Standhardinger, RR Pogoy, will play in Japan or elsewhere abroad. This will definitely even the playing field in the PBA."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

An exodus will be good for the players sitting at the end of the bench, especially the young ones. It means a good opportunity for them to show what they got and where they need to improve so that the coaches can work on them. Tapos malay natin, they might turn into a star.

Instant noodles lang naman alam na lutoin ni Leo Austria. Stripped Austria of CJ Perez & Junmar Fajardo & I bet pupulutin sa emburnal ang San Miguel.
As for Tim Cone, on the other hand, at least to his credit, Scottie Thompson became a star, and Aljon Mariano and Prince Caperal became quality contributors when given opportunities. God, I wish he used his bench more. Ang daming potential contributors, e, which could be useful once the old core washes out.
Under Chito Victolero, Sangalang became a featured option, and Rodney Brondial and Jio Jalalon became quality players. Aris Dionisio might be on the way there, same with Jerrick Ahanmisi. Of the SMC coaches, siya lang ang may at least decent track record when it comes to player development. They're the little brother (or sister), so they had to develop their own assets.

That is why PBA is a complete SHIT!!!!
Obviously, its SMC who is blocking the entry of these companies interested in owning PBA franchises. Dapat yung mga farm teams like Blackwater, Perra-pirma, Northport should be acquired by these companies wanting to own PBA franchises but SMC is blocking it kasi mawawala na farm teams nila & this old shitty practice of lopsided trades which have benefitted mostly San Miguel & Ginebra teams will be gone. Without these shits, SMC teams can no longer dominate the PBA like it used to. SMC could no longer monopolize quality players in the PBA specially if a big company like SM would own a PBA franchise.
Leo Austria will no longer win any championship for his SMB team becoz magagawa lang naman nya yun if his team has an overwhelming edge in talent over the rest of the pack.Originally posted by Jackie Reaper View PostActually, Lamoiyan (Hapee), Bounty Fresh (Chooks) and AMA can actually buy and replace Northport, Blackwater and Terrafirma. Those teams have no business playing in PBA.Originally posted by JAMSKIE View PostWell, being a farm team is a good business. Being someone's bitch is still profitable

I think if one is a rational PBA fan, who only wants a balanced & competitive league, you would be very every disappointed seeing a team like Northport, which showed some promise in the recent 2021 PBA Phi Cup, to lose players like Bolick & Malonzo to talent laden teams like SMB & Ginebra.
I think most of us here were impressed with what Northport has exhibited last conference, only to be frustrated that such good showing would be short lived.
And this would only add to our disdain on the PBA"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. He has just been banking on his super bloated with talent SMB roster to win. Its the overwhelming superiority in talent that made SMB win so many championship under Leo Austria. Austria's coaching had nothing much to do with it.
On Junmar, its obvious that Junmar has a decent medium range jump shot, but he seldomly takes mid-range jumpers. Why? Eh kasi kayang kaya naman ni Junmar kalabawin sa loob eh against local bigs who are about 4 to 5 inches shorter than him. Remember the time when Leo Austria wanted a "mas malapad" & "mas mabigat" na Junmar Fajardo?
I do agree with heavy reliance on talent, though.

Originally posted by robert0326Ganyan na talaga laro ni Pessumal since his college days, He didn't improve the way Pogoy improves as of today.. His best performance actually when he was playing for Gilas cadets under Nash Racela before.. I remember he drained 10 3 pt shots in a FIBA game before.. I think it was against Jordan, If i'm not mistaken... Ginawa lang sya "Boy abang sa labas" nila Pido at Austria.. He can be 3 and D guy in other teams.. w/o his sweet shooting of him, He will be already retired as basketball player because aside from his shooting eh he can't do more.. I hope that he was also traded to Terrafirma for CJ Perez trade, baka dun lumabas laro nya...
