To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

CTG sponsored other leagues because it cannot do so in the PBA due to conflict of the existing member's business which is Magnolia.

not true at all. they are competitors in business but doesn't mean they are enemies personally. even MVP and SMC sponsors Gilas. if SBP will seek the help of CTG to sponsor gilas, mascarinas will never say no.

Simply, let Chooks join the league.
          Hay nako Mr. Sayson

i think the one and only solution for the PBA to be more exciting is to get rid of the puppet commissioner.

Get someone who preaches parity among teams.

          Yung hindi takot kay AFC.

Since the last 2 commissioners seem to be afraid of the SMC empire.

          • PAANO NA ANG PBA!Masyado ng malaki ang problema ng PBQ ngayon Gusto na nga ng mga tao na I CANCEL LAHAT NG GAMES NITO NGAYON!MAGSASARA NA?OH MATATAG PA?TAGS:...

As I've said, PBA is now being haunted by its shitty & wicked acts from the past (& even at present). What goes around, comes around.

How flattering it is on my ears to hear that nalulugi na daw ang PBA. Hope its true.

So more lopsided trades pa SMC & your farm teams. Kunin nyo na lahat ng mga quality players sa liga & paghatihatian nyo sa 3 team nyo at ng kayo kayo na rin lang ang maglaban sa championship
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

for me, PBA should do away with trades and annual rookie drafts. teams should sign whoever they want. just put a salary cap and oblige them to disclose players' salaries and bonuses.

              • I was wondering why PBA is not considering to reintroduce the Asian import quota, a broader but restricted one?

broader because it compasses all Asians. not only Japanese, Koreans, Taiwanese, Chinese, Thais and Indonesians but also Iranians, Lebanese, Syrians, Jordanians, Palestinians, Indians, Saudis, Bahrainis and Kazakhs. it could also encompass players in Guam, Tonga, Samoa, Tahiti and Fiji.

it is restricted because dual citizens can only play as an Asian import if he plays in FIBA as a local.

Lol they will never declare the bonuses. BIR will also be waving once they do this and the players won’t like it

Well in order for that person to be commissioner, he needs the votes of smc and the puppet teams of smc.

If you are in the shoes of SMC, why will you say yes to that

lack of innovation. wala talaga. they keep hiring dinosaur comissioners. now i think they lost the younger generation audience. they even cannot compete with mlbb and dota streamers. im even more excited in watching mpl tournament.

Well i have to agree with other posters here. Either Bubble or Bust, no more no less.

Sa kagustuhan ni Boss AFC and Kume na magkaimport laden conference dahil siguro baka kinukulit na ni Brownlee si Boss AFC na bumalik dito. ayun lumala. joke lang heeh

I also hope it's import-laden or nothing. Kahit one import lang, or just recruit from the FSAs, from whom you won't need to expect much.

Kaso, there's this idea that an All-Filipino is the crown jewel of the PBA. A lot of fans subscribe to this idea too. I hope this changes.

You can’t fix the commissioner as this is a majority vote. What they need to fix is their marketing and digital team.

The marketing of PBA sucks big time. If I was in the shoes of the owners, if my company is struggling, the first thing I’d do is pullout of the PBA and sell my players for cash.

I don’t get enough games(Min of 11 games for 2 years) and possibly at timeslots that the reach of people are low and also I have a hard time to watch(need cable for one sports, majority of the young generation does not have cable). It is not worth the millions I have invested as the return on investment is surely red

the inevitable consequence of pandemic coupled with ABS-CBN shutdown. shows are now fighting for fewer airtime slots. 2 channels ang nawala sa ere. even UAAP is only in cable since Viva and ABS are now occupying TV5 timeslots. NCAA is lucky to be in free tv but GMA sucks at covering them. Sports league, in general, will now have a hard time to secure free tv coverage due to limited airtime slots.

Watch the old abs cbn telecast of uaap.. the simple marketing move done by kaboom and mico halili who are both with pldt /cignal now is just ang daming side comments about personal life of players whos who in politics and alta society.. and abs cbn being a media giant luring politicians to watch the games

So its not jsut great marketing skills need the outside factors politics et. Al..
