Haha. I meant the NCAA. The UAAP is snatching up all the talents and they're banning foreigners. SMH. Kaya they'll never catch up to the UAAP.

The MPBL is a league that's full of has beens and scrubs. And they imposed a height limit for Fil-foreigners. Who enjoys watching a game dominated by short old players?

Many globally will be of the opinion that criteria above is a very good indicator to use.
In that category, we are ahead of Korea and Iran. Because of our Fil-Fors. Of course if you include Imports, then CBA and B. League is ahead of us.

All participants in the regular competition including foreign players (imports) make up the level of competition. I'm not famillar with Korea and iran.. Aren't Korean imports (2 ? ) not div 1 players or other major league? and if so, does each PBA team in most of it's games , which is all Fiilipiono have 2 div 1 players each per team ?

Asian League is the former name of EASL.

            • In hindsight it's better to have no power tripping moderator in this forum. PEX really turned me off. You have an out of shape manlet who's abusing his power in the main nba forum. You cannot even replied to his own posts. He still need to approved it. And the sad part was he was talking to his alternate account made it seemed that he was supporting him in his stupid posts.

I think it's feasible for FIBA Asia to come up with a continental club championships with a similar format to AFC Champions' League. Due to Asia's vastness, the latter currently employs an east-west regional tournament, with the winners of each region duke it out for the overall Asian club championship. That said winning club could then be pitted against the other continental zone winners for Europe, Americas, Oceania and Africa - if FIBA will just organize.

And with the EASL's initiative and commitment to future expansions, i wont be surprised if it influences WABA and does the same in the near future.

In fairness, the KBL used to have import height restrictions, but scrapped them in 2019.

PBA still the highest competition that we can get here in the Philippines.. yes, PBA now is running by idiots but we can't deny top talents are still in the pba.. can Kobe Paras or Dwight Ramos can hold on 1v1 vs ray parks? Can Ricci and jgdl can match up vs pringle? Aside from ateneo eh other uaap schools can match up by NCAA schools likes of San beda and letran, even best cesafi teams can match up on them.. do you think tab Baldwin is better coach than Tim cone? Nevertheless, I want to see a head to head coaching battle between balwin vs likes of chot, cyg and ctc.. or even Norman black..
You lost me when you put Tab-Cone discussion. Outside the bronze-medal finish in Asian Games and the gold-medal finish in the SEA Games, all the accolades of Tim Cone are in the PBA.

                        Tab:

                        5x NBL champion
                        4x NBL COY
                        2x Halberg Awards COY
                        3x UAAP champion
                        1 Gold FIBA-Oceania
                        2 Silvers FIBA-Oceania
                        2 Silvers FIBA-Asia
                        1 Gold FIBA-Asia Stankovic Cup
                        1 Gold SEA Games

                        Tim:

                        23x PBA champion
                        4x PBA COY
                        2x Grand Slam
                        1 Bronze Asian Games
                        1 Gold SEA Games

While Tim is the best coach in the Philippines, Tab is a veteran international campaigner.

Well some other people aside from me think Ateneo can potentially beat PBA teams , so it's actually a real discussion.
In fact they have in practice games , regardless if u say Tnt was not full strength or trying ..

                            Yup.

If GInebra and Ateneo will have a Best of 7 Series. I am pretty sure Ginebra will win 4-1 or 4-2.

But does this mean Coach Tim is a better Coach than Coach Tab? I dont think so.

Hmmm. I will say Coach Tim is a better pba coach while coach tab is a better fiba coach. So the rules that will be used is important.

Nonetheless, even if I am a Ginebra Fan, I will say Coach tab is slightly above Coach Cone in Coaching.

of course ateneo can. they have shown that they can even beat team b and team a- of taiwan in a regular tournament on their homecourt.

but ateneo is not uaap. put d 8 uaap teams with their 2021 roster vs d 12 2021 pba teams in a single-round robin bubble tournament, the probability that 7 pba teams will make the 8-team quarterfinals will probably be higher than the probability of having less.

                              • Teams can now practice in NCR

                                https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/p...-a795-20210513

There might not be a need for PBA teams to go south or even north with Ilocos Norte also offered to serve as host for the league’s practice sessions under a bubble set-up following the reclassification of NCR+.
