Sports is different from geopolitics. Even the USA participated in the Berlin Olympics, remember? Even Hitler didn't openly castigate the black athletes there, even if he was so racist in preferring Aryan lineage.

Besides, I don't think 2017 was that bad. 2015 was bad because of the home cooking. If these friendly matches are going to be done anywhere except China, we can expect fair game.

i guess you forgot how political the fiba and olympics were during the cold war , though sports somehow helped open China to the world during the late 70s (ping pong diplomacy and the washington bullets)

my guess will be a starting five of Cstan, Japeth, Wright, Pringle and Castro with the bench composed of Pogoy, Rosario, Abueva, Thompson, Lassiter, CJ Perez, Erram, Tautua, Ravena and Slaughter, (since JMF is injured), Romeo, Fajardo and Parks should be part of the team if healthy/issues resolved.

What's the use of these games with china anyways. I like MVP but in this case it is obvious that he is just protecting his business interests with china. what relationship can be mend here ... nada... china is robbing us blind in the West Philippine sea. There are many teams in the region where we can have friendly games with. W had always reached out to china but this chinese govt keeps disrespecting us and robbing us.
