But freaking Paolo Orbeta somehow became a team owner..
yup forgot about barocca, was sacked by the montinolas/feu eventually leading to a revamp of the entire tams lineup, and up to now still rumored to have shave points, esp. during the recent pba bubble.

Paolo Orbeta is a freaking legend, no idea where he got funds to buy a mpbl team "wink wink"

Because there are jobs that are really temporary in nature, time-bound, result-oriented and even seasonal. You need them at a certain time but not in another time. You cannot regularized that. We are also running a business so we know that not all jobs are meant to be regularized.

How about ABS CBN segment producers I guess their jobs are "seasonal" too eh?
Did I mention a certain job?

Well, I will just answer your post, those Jollibee store and kitchen staffs should be regularized since these necessary and desirable for the trade and business of Jollibee.

As to those working in the production of a certain show (not ABS-CBN but other stations), yes, they are only needed for the duration of the show. After that, will you still pay him for doing nothing? Remember, no work, no pay tayo dito.

i thought fast food workers (jolibee crew, barista et.al) are already regularalized, as most of them already have HMOs and given other benefits? but true workers from media (lol at abs cbn, arguing for workers welfare during their franchise hearing yet didn't even take care of their workers) and construction industry don't follow regularization.

and the govt. otself is known for being the largest employer of casuals, job orders and outsourced personnel.

employee welfare has been a recurring problem in Phil. society, feudal eh

Why would they? Remember, there are jobs that exist for a certain period. After that period, the necessity and desirability of the work cease to exist.

Buti pa sila. Most of our HCWs in public hospitals are JOs with no benefits unless malakas ka.. Di na nga sumusunod sa minimum delayed pa pasahod. Same with most private hospitals.

There's a boom in hiring during this pandemic but I hear most are on fix term contracts and again delayed pasahod.

and as i recall, healthcare workers (same with teachers) in private institutions are paid poorly compared to their government counterparts, i blame redtape and inefficiency in the govt as there are thousands of unfilled items for years. the private sector on the other hand, just abuses the market, especially that teachers and nurses are abundant (prior pandemic ah)

-i recall that maintenance workers in St. Lukes have competitive wages than their nurses in the said hospital, WTF

That's correct especially in the province. However that is only true for regular employees which makes's less than half of their numbers.. Yeah during my time there my starting salary was just the minimum. This was the time that their is supposed to be an oversupply of nurses. I heard they more than double it now

                        • 23 players become UFA's after not receiving tender offer from teams that drafted them.

One of them is Seraj Elmejrab. MVP teams, Alaska and ROS, you need bigman? This dude stands around 6'6-6'7 and pretty wide. He can be useful to guard other bigs (Junmar, Slaughter, CS, Erram and Almazan).

yeng guiao could mold him into a Larry Rodriguez type of bigman

The way BIGGER version of Larry Rodriguez. Might be slow but can be utilized in the paint against Junmar. I think ROS should pick this dude up. Ponferrada and Belga are getting old already. At 27, I say pwede pa itong si Seraj.
