  • The only unprofessional thing parks did was lie about where he was. OPTING TO NOT PLAY FOR A TEAM HE DOES NOT HAVE A CONTRACT WITH IS NOT UNPROFESSIONAL. I still dont get why people cant understand this.

However, MVP group has conducted more unprofessional actions in the days since:

    1. Posting photo in social media as alleged “proof” that parks is lying about his whereabouts
    2. Leaking previous contract terms and contract offers to make parks look “greedy”
    3. Vargas’s statements

    Such a professional organization <3

In PBA you can trade the rights for a player. Brian Haruela was traded by Phoenix to Alaska without a contract

Whatever you say, Parks is still unprofessional. That's the only thing that matters in this issue.

You say that because that’s the easy argument here. Parks’s lie wasn’t even proven yet, but was subjected to trial by publicity immediately without the accusing party even asking for confirmation from parks.

On the other hand, the facts which are the actions made by the MVP group are staring you right in the face, but you just gloss over them because parks is a “diva” fits the narrative better.

didnt say that it was a sign and trade deal but the article mentioned that heruela's contract expired a month prior the trade

His contract already expired last month and he is set to become a free agent by the end of the month.

              • JC Intal just retired: https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/j...a2437-20210321

At least Phoenix has insurance with Rios and now Demusis. Mallari's still unsigned, though.

Honestly Parks knew how things are handled in the PBA. Snow and co are already pissed at him. He should have been more careful. These things could really screw your career. Is he even in the US right now?

Marcial remained mum about reports of several PBA players testing positive for COVID-19 recently, but said there are teams concerned about holding group practices due to the health restrictions being implemented by the Local Government Units (LGUs) where their respective training facilities are located.

“Wala pa akong balita sa mga LGUs, pero yung mga teams pinatanong ko, e. Magpa-practice sila bukas (Monday), at least eight to nine teams,” he said.

At the same time, under the new IATF guidelines released on Sunday, non-contact sports are still allowed to be held as long as social distancing and other strict protocols are followed.

“Yung nilabas naman na guidelines, puwede ang non-contact (sports). So sa pagkaka-alam ko puwede tayo. Yun naman ang ginagawa natin before, group workouts na may social distancing. Wala tayong scrimmages,” said Marcial.

basketball is non contact? anyway, i think the 2 conference plan will not push through and the PBA will end up with another bubble conference,

yup, the greater manila area is too congested, government's inefficiency and the public's lackadaisical approach on quarantine measures is the perfect recipe for another spike in COVID cases, PBA better of to conduct another bubble season,i hope this time they make it daily games with a double round robin format, 2 months is more than enough to conduct a conference under that setup. (NBA regular season nga 82 games in 6 months or around 13-15 games a month). Expenses can be offset by ad revenues (and gambling), plus unlike the MPBL, the PBA already have experience conducting a successful bubble, we might hate the league, but lets give them credit on the previous bubble.

                          • Munzon to SMB, Malonzo to Ginebra after 2 years. We laugh at comments like this but watch it become true. I think Rayray will sign with TNT to make peace with the team and the league but he'll be immediately traded to NorthPort. NorthPort will then trade him to his team of choice, which is Ginebra.

                            • Ginebra is no longer the same team that I loved. I became a huge fan of Ginebra when they had the worst record in 1995 and they drafted Marlou Aquino as the no.1 pick in 1996. Winning a championship in 1997 was the most memorable championship in their franchise history alongside the 2004 Championship when they won back to backs.

So the main reason why you no longer love Ginebra is because they became a super strong team now and no longer the previous underdogs?
