If Parks really wanted a trade to SMC then he should ask instead of what he is doing right now but we dont really what he wants since for now what he is only asking for publicly is a break.

His situation with his BW was suspicious though. Does he really want to play in the PBA? If he really does want to play for SMC that bad from the start then what are the chances that he intentionally dropped some games against them? This whole thing warrants a deep investigation IMO.

They can match the offer.. The problem is now on Parks wanting to play for Ginebra.. That is no secret.. Buti kung sana if they trade Parks to Ginebra eh they can get some marquee players from Ginebra.. I don't care Parks going to Ginebra.. But sana it should be fair transaction.. May Pringle at Cstand na sa Ginebra, May Japeth pa.. you also have Tenorio and Scottie... you also have MIP winner Caperal.. then adding Parks on this current Ginebra roster is already overkill.. Yes TNT has strong starting 5.. but they have a weaker bench because kahit paano they still follow salary cap rules, sacrifice na ang bench players because expensive na ang starting 5 roster.. But tutuusin Erram is not yet max salary, maybe even Rosario and Pogoy (although Pogoy should now receive max contract).. It's only Castro, Parks are max salary.. Yes, TNT can trade Parks to other teams than Ginebra.. But dun din babagsak yan because Parks wants only Ginebra!!! Ganun din gagawin ni Parks sa ibang teams.. because he's diva and he wants Ginebra only.. Yun ang hindi pwede!!! Ginebra should sacrifice either Pringle, Japeth or Cstand to get Parks.. Ganun dapat.. We should also value the leveling the playing field..

Well, it's TNT's problem if they can't get something of equivalent value. If its Ginebra, they can always ask for Scottie or Pringle or Art+Arvin+Caperal+future first round picks, whatever. If Ginebra doesn't approve any, TNT can switch to other SMC teams, or even its farm teams. In the end, TNT should make sure to get itself "compensated" for trading away BRP and not derail his career.

What i mean is even let's say TNT trade Parks already to other teams outside Ginebra.. Let's say ROS.. Then in ROS, he will might do it again and asking again for a trade.. Di na tama yun.. He should be a professional even he's not in Ginebra jersey.. He can wait until his 7th year before he can go to his preferred destination..

Then it's ROS or any other PBA team's problem then, assuming they get BRP from TNT, then after 1 whole season or perhaps a conference or 2 (this should be enforced by PBA, no hold-outs, no career derailing) decides to trade with SMC teams and not get any of the players that I mentioned above. At least that delays the league parity's total demise for another year. What I'm trying to say here is that the league and its fans are going to miss out on bonafide or continental-level talent (not just Parks, but also on the upcoming ones whether homegrown or overseas-based) if they choose to be close-minded about this issue.

IMO, i'll just trade Parks to Northport in exchange of Navarro, Ferrer and a 1st round pick. That's the alternative pathway for Parks to join Ginebra.

I think the Navarro+Future 1 rounder will be a good trade but considering the Navarro cannot be employed until 2023, they may opt for another serviceable player from Northport and downgrade the 1st rd pick to a 2nd rounder.

What makes you think that there's none? Greg's case - exhibit A. And sign and trade is not a special case/policy. You really need to sign a player first before you can trade him/her. That's fundamental.

Vic Manuel was also a sign and trade. The issue is either Parks wants way more than max or Parks really doesnt want to play. Only Parks and his inner circle know for sure.

I don't see any problem with IPC & mathematician root for Ginebra. At least they are also supporters of Gilas & for me that is what most important. I believe naman that both IPC & mathematician aren't pleased with what Ginebra & SMB are doing which is to hoard the marque players of the PBA in order to be well ahead of the rest of the PBA teams in terms of talent. IPC & mathematician aren't in the same mold naman with those class C, D, & E Ginebra fans whose level of rationale eh subrang baba.

About the trades, admittedly I have mixed feelings about trades that benefit Ginebra, like the Pringle and Standhardinger ones. Pringle trade, I really had mixed emotions about that, primarily because of Sol. Sol was one of my favorite Ginebra players at the time, and was a valuable defender. Like I said, I actually initially saw the trade as not as lopsided. I didn't consider the fact that Sol and Jervy were aging, and I thought Ferrer was going to become a bona fide scoring option in NorthPort and become at least a borderline star. But in hindsight, there it is, it was more lopsided than I thought. Standhardinger trade, well, I like his versatility, and I think he fit like a glove, but I thought back then that Ginebra would be better served getting a position of need (which is the forward positions, as Dillinger, JDV, Japeth and Standhardinger are over 30), and developing their younger players. But, well they happened.

I would personally really appreciate less trades involving stockpiling stars in their prime. I'm the kind of guy that would rather give youth a chance, and personally, I'd rather trade excess players for future draft picks (2023 or something like that) and role players in positions of need than superstars in a moment like this, kasi, you're so deep na nasasayang ang mga talents na kinukuha ninyo.

At saka, if you stockpile, please make sure you can lend to Gilas. Nakaka-disappoint talaga na walang Ginebra player sa Gilas.

What? Do you remember how Cstand going to SMB for scrubs.. Diba nag reklamo TNT nun and most of the teams.. muntik pa nga mag lock out ang PBA because of that issue..

So what happened? Wala rin. Because they know they couldn't do shit to SMC. That's why they are bullying Parks whom is not under contract.
