Seems to me like Castro does more harm than goood. This is especially true once you consider the fact that some posters have insinuated (iirc) that there have been gamen fixing allegations against him.

Castro still has a ton of value. They could get Kiefer and some added value from a conduit like Blackwater. Maybe a CBC.

Were they unhappy with his training regimen too? I don't want to believe it but maybe Castro is really a malcontent..

Probably should be traded for Amer or Kiefer or even Alas and just hand the keys to Williams. He's getting old now and I've always hated Chot's give the ball to Castro and get out of the way strategy in crunch time

      • Tnt can do to Castro what Purrfoods did to James Yap.

Magnolia/Purefoods traded Old and Aging James Yap for PRIME PAUL LEE. It work for Magnolia actually.

Castro is slowly but surely devaluing his value.

Tnt is smart enough should trade Castro.

Especially if it is true that Mikey is Pringle level

Right now I will pick Pringle over Castro 24/7

        • Alapag was only traded when he was 36. If i recall correctly, that time castro was ready to prove he can lead a team. We should probably wait until castro is 36 and his replacement is ready.

He's 34. And by some accounts, he's starting to cause trouble. He is still good so they can still get great value for him. They could've gotten a replacement via a trade like Kiefer. Right now, they also have Williams.

If it was a choice between Parks/Dickel and Castro/Chot, I would take the former.

              • Surprised that MVP hasnt sent Keifer yet as Castro's heir, but it seems like the Ravenas do not favor a particular group and would just do decisions based on whats best for them.

And look what happened to Alapag. He jumped ship to the SMC stable.

                        • I think this is the solution for the MVP and BRP jr.’s camp..

Trade between Terrafirma and Talk and Text, the right of 2019 #1 pick special Gilas Pilipinas draft Isaac Go(Ateneo) for the right of 2018 regular draft #2 Bobby Ray Parks jr.(Alab Pilipinas)..

                            or

A three-team trade involving NorthPort, Talk N’ Text and Ginebra. Greg Slaughter of NorthPort for TNT’s Bobby Ray Parks Jr. then GlobalPort will shift Ray Parks Jr. to Ginebra for Arthur dela Cruz and Jeff Chan plus future 2nd round draft pick..

                            • lol, last year's 2nd overall pick might not even make the NLEX roster

Trollano might crack NLEX roster, but fate of Shaw, Sumang hang in the balance

                              By Rey Joble

Don Trollano played for Yeng Guiao for several years with the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and became a part of the team’s championship run in the 2016 Commissioner’s Cup.

When Guiao was appointed head coach of the Philippine team to the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Trollano was also included in the roster as a reserve player.

The former Adamson stalwart will have a chance to reunite with his old coach when he became a part of a multi-player, three-team trade involving NLEX, TNT and Blackwater and Trollano looks forward to working with Guiao anew.

Trollano along with center Maurice Shaw and guard Roi Sumang were among the players sent to the Road Warriors as part of the trade that brought NLEX’s No.4 pick in the recent PBA Rookie Draft to the Tropang Giga.

But NLEX general manager Yeng Guiao admitted that among the three, only Trollano has a good chance of cracking a roster spot.

“Malamang si Don Trollano yung mabigyan ng chance kasi ang dami na rin naming players,” Guiao told PBA Rush.

The Road Warriors selected six players from the Rookie Draft on Sunday and Guiao admitted that they might not be able to accommodate all of them. Under PBA rules, a team is allowed to maintain 15 plus one player.

NLEX picked Calvin Oftana as the third overall selection then acquired David Murrell, a 6-foot-2, forward from University of the Philippines, in the second round. Other players who were picked up by the squad were former MPBL players Jun Bonsubre (third round) and Joe Presbitero (fourth round), Joseph Alcantara (fifth round) and Alberto Torres (sixth round).

“As for Shaw and Sumang, paguusapan pa namin sa management kung ano ang gagawin namin,” added Guiao.
