I think why ginebra pick Ken holmqvist because they only want to screw blackwater to get ken.. halata masyado.. sayang career Lang ni ken.. too much loaded sa big ang ginebra.. galawang smc talaga.. they will pick a big man to not be use by other teams.. ken holmqvist can do ala Matt Salem, drafted by ginebra but he choose not to sign with ginebra even ginebra offer him a contract and pick blackwater and later sign with blackwater..

not necessarily to screw blackwater specifically but MVP. i mean, nobody needs to screw Blackwater when they screw themselves just fine. lol

i just think SMC and friends (Tira-pirma and North-fourth) are hoarding the bigmen so MVP won't be able to get bigs that they can use against SMC teams. Ken could at least be a good practice player for Ginebra. Also, Ken can be recycled to Magnolia who desperately needs big (as in TALL) men.

Be careful what you ask for bro, coz you might get it. I just don't trust SMC people specially Al Chua running things at SBP. SMC people at SBP might just ruin the program that the MVP group has started. Anong malay natin that with SMC at the helm, they scrap the cadet program & would instead always come up with a PBA-select national team with only 10 to 14 days of preparation even for a major FIBA tournament.

I could imagine Al Chua saying, "We would need no less than the best basketball players in the country & we all know that the best basketball players in the country are in the PBA".

i guess i'm just interested to see what the other group has to offer. maybe they get a separate international person to handle the NT and keep al focused on the pba. then they could use their own gilas system to hoard talents then eventually siphon them to their PBA teams. lol

Blackwater should suck big time this season so as to beat Terrafirma & Northport for next year's No. 1 draft pick. Sadly, it has gone down to that point - that some PBA teams have to tank not really to strengthen their respective teams but to strengthen the superpower teams.

While I strongly detest such a ridiculous practice, I would rather want Blackwater to get next year's No. 1 pick so that that rookie will eventually go to any of the MVP teams. I root for MVP teams mainly becoz they are affiliated with Gilas.

Unlike the evil empire of SMC na subrang swapang na nga sa mga marque players, hindi pa supportive sa National team.

This kinda saddens me. It would actually be great if I see a Ginebra player play and excel for Gilas. I wanna see guys like Scottie and Arvin go to Gilas and do well there. I wanna see my team represented. I wonder how many SMC fans feel like I do.

Problem with MVP teams is that it has a history of wasting superstars and letting them leave whilst getting terrible returns. MVP essentially let Romeo and Tautuaa go for role players. Now it seems like Ravena and Parks want out. I hope SMC just takes over the handling of the National team. MVP had a good run.

The irony is that Coach Tim Cone Is a Foreigner Coach too.

to be fair, he did allow Toroman and Purves to run the show in SMB for a while, but petronovela drama is too much to handle

Hoarding of quality players is always a practice of prominent ball-clubs since Crispa- Toyota era. Actually, it’s better now as there 4-5 (Pangilinan & Ang) teams which they are distributed. Nothing new it’s always be a part of the game dynamics and will always exists and lingers.
