about kiefer receiving an offer from b-league

in the deleted article it mentioned that kiefer went to CYG’s house and talk about it. (this happened around january). they talk about the offer and it’s serious one.. CYG is ok with it.. He mentioned that he just signed the nlex contract and the uniform contract thing.. then CYG has no clue about the latest one in regards to management and kiefer.. (i guess MVP hasn’t inform yet that MVP already gave blessings already to kief) and CYG it will be hard for kief to enter japan and kief already process some documents needed..

However, Guiao also told Ravena about the process it would entail before he can accept the Japan offer and actually play abroad.

Guiao said Ravena is still under contract, a three-year deal, not just with NLEX but also in the PBA as well through the Uniform Players’ Contract (UPC) agreement between the player and the league.

“There are things that are going to make that reality a bit of a problem,” Guiao said. “Number one, he has a contract, number two, upon signing the UPC, he is also committed not just to the team but to the league.”

Guiao, however, said he will not stand in the way of Ravena’s personal development as long as everything is cleared with NLEX management and the PBA.

“The first thing is I don’t want to be in the way of your personal career advancement especially if that advancement was really something substantial," the veteran coach said.

"But I said, you have a problem and your problem is you have a contract with NLEX and, of course, the PBA will have to allow you or permit you to go to Japan and play because the moment you sign a contract with the PBA team, you are also committed to the PBA as a league,” said Guiao.

Guiao said Ravena has yet to speak with him about the offer except a few days ago where he told him that he is already in the process of obtaining a Japanese visa.

“I think even if he completes his papers, that’s not going to automatically allow him to be able to play in Japan,” said Guiao.

because as far as as we know no entry pa ata to entry. that’s what we understand

Sabi ko sa inyo eh.. Do you think it's easy for Kiefer to go abroad? Think again.. That UPC rule of PBA the reason Kiefer can't get his wish to play in Japan.. He should honor it.. A breach of contract will be happen if Kiefer force this one..

is it final though? that’s why they’re talking about it.. again if theirs buy out, PBA gave go signal and then kiefer is okay to go. it’s not breach of contract if theirs a buy out.. that b-league contract paid the kiefer’s nlex contract..

Its more a loan.. bleague team will pay mvp este nlexa loan transfer fee so that kiefer can play for b league, but it will face a lot of opposition from other parties and will be surprised if theres none

a handsome buy out.. something that other people doesn’t understand..

again if theirs a buy out and the offer is legit then PBA is okay with it.. it means that b-league team already owns kiefer after that buy out of kiefers nlex contract..

The problem is the PBA.. I don't think PBA will allow this because if they allow Kiefer then more players will follow suit.. Imagine Romeo, Lee, or even Junmar will folllow through.. then PBA is in deep trouble.. You know how chaotic PBA boards minds are.. They treat the sabbatical thing of Parks and Slaughter as a big deal already and they are now creating a new rule to stop that already even Parks and Slaughter didn't break a rule regarding of contract situation..

but i don’t think romeo, lee, JF will go overseas.. Romeo and JF has offers outside but opted to stay in RP..

We have nothing to do with that.. Kiefer should honor UPC rule in the PBA.. PBA will not simply allow a player especially there's a existing contract... They are also protecting their interest also... It's not easy to buy out a contract, That's too long and more process.. He can play B-League if he has no contract.. same case of Chris Ellis that he played for Thailand's TBSL, He waited for his contract to expired at BWE before playing in other leagues (I don't know if TBSL is already PRO league in that time)...

so to, if theirs a buyout, legit offer and b-league team already owns kiefer, will PBA still not allow kiefer to play for that japan team? PBA is foreign to the idea of this buy out thing as it has never happen before..
