  • Problem with Garcia is he can't play defense...so his minutes at NLEX, if ever Yeng gets him, would depend heavily on his ability to guard his man...

perhaps there will be too many guards.I believe this is like having Jimmy and Jason before when Jimmy is aging and Castro is at his prime. Now Jason is the veteran point guard for the team.I think with the arrival of Romeo, RR Garcia and Reyes' services wouldn't be very much needed, perhaps they could be included for future trade negotiations.Since Kelly Williams is playing like he's 26,I still think that they are still lacking some forward and a center. This will be somehow a problem to coach Nash.Having two point guards that will share valuable minutes (Jason and Terrence) and two shooting guards that are good as well (Pogoy and Cruz), I believe that Semerad must move to the small forward spot, while Kelly and Troy will have to share the center-power forward position.A good small forward will be a valuable addition to the team (filling the void left by Ganuelas) and a up and coming center that could give Kelly Williams some quality time at the bench (formerly the spot by Tautuaa).

Possible Solution: I think the TnT's next target should be no less than Raymond Almazan. There are reports that Almazan wants to be traded from ROS so I think TNT will be a good destination. If TNT can do something in the draft and get another draft pick that they won't trade,I think the best player for them in the next draft (if he decides to become available at the draft) would be Alab's Lawrence Domingo. Granting that TNT can make of all these possible, you will have Almazan (6'8) as your center,Rosario (6'7) at power forward (Kelly (6'7) will sub either Almazan or Rosario), Domingo (6'5) on the small forward (subbed in by Semerad (6'4) Semerad can occasionally shift to shooting guard position), either Roger Pogoy (6'2) or Jericho Cruz (6'2) (Cruz can play point guard if the team needs a taller point) in the shooting guard position and Castro (5'9) (subbed in by Romeo (5'11) or Castro can be a non starter) in the point guard position. TNT may potentially have 5 Gilas/Former Gilas players (6 if you will add Kelly).

But I think he is smart knew how to pass, knew how to take it especially from the deep, the probelm with rr isnt his inability to play defense, but ability to not get injured especially in his shoulder upon playing defense with todays pba guards which somehow affect his shooting

          • Wow. They gave up a first round pick for Romeo. Tsk tsk. They should have just traded RR. Romeo as heir to Castro. Goodluck with that. They would have been better off if they tanked for Kiefer.

                • The cyclical change of the empires' fortunes is usually heralded by the arrival of a dominant big man. Who will be TNT's savior then?

They have secured the backcourt of Gilas by having Romeo and Ravena inside the MVP stable.

This trade is a win-win for me for both teams. Romeo gives TNT that firepower needed for the DDO and Taha is that big willing to do the dirty work to allow the guards to do their thing. Since TNT looks like to be forever using the DDO, they most likely want a big who's not going to be ball dominant in the post. I think Taha fits that role.

I would say for GBP it's a gamble to get Tatuaa because it's a wait and see how he'll turn out but his potential is still so high that you would rather have someone like him in your team and have a crack at him to unleash that potential. The Pringle-Tatuaa combo is something to look forward to.

That Tautuaa and Pringle PNR and lob passes would be fun to watch. Remember this 2 has been teammates in the ABL, and are infact best friends off the courts. Chalk Mo as one of those having a breakout season after being traded from TNT.

Good point on Taha. If Nash continues with the DDO, then he won't have any need for a dominant big, not that he can easily get it in the market, but it's a matter of the franchise just knowing its strengths and getting the materials to put things in good use. Still, it wouldn't have hurt to put Mo in one of their sister teams, especially Meralco, where he'll flourish under Norman. That would have avoided a scenario of Tautuaa joining one of the 3 SMC teams, which looms highly at this point (Magnolia, I reckon).

Then again, who else at the TNT camp can they give to interest GBP?

Sure, he is a big. But he is far from being dominant. Afaik he was not even a rotation player in Wake Forest.
