    If it's Seigle...

1.) Falsified Med Test to collect money while injured: He was out for some time in the AFC this year and seems to have never really gotten back. Protest to management/staff: only issue that he was vocal that he was displeased with was the JR Reyes trade...or perhaps he just does not want to be in the team.

2.) Falsified Med Test so he can be traded: Also possible as he might already be "damaged beyond repair" when SMC traded him.

3.) Faked Med Test to get contract extension: no contract extension yet.

4.) Faked Medical Drug Test: If it was Sharma, yes. Allado, hmmm...maybe. But Danny S, no...

        • I remember Danny S complaining about the lack of PT he had while he was in Petron. He was actually quite grateful when Petron traded gim to Air21/Barako. So thats probably not him.

is it Menk? JWash? Lordy? JayJay?(highly unlikely since he already considered to retire last conf) those are the players that have been injury prone over the past few years.

btw, whatever happened to Sunday Salvacion? it would be a waste if he is now being used as a practice player. This guy will be a phenom if he ever plays in the ABL.

according to Snow Badua's tweets, Sunday had plantar fasciitis and he'd be back with Barako next game as he was reactivated already

Players like Bong Ravena, Vince Hizon, Ato Agustin, among others were free to join any PBA team which was why Ravena saw himself joining TNT, and Hizon and Agustin locking up with Red Bull.
The rule back then was that the rights to a player returning to PBA after a stint in the MBA remains with his last PBA team of record unless the team waives the right.

By the way, Renato Agustin signed up with Santa Lucia in 1999 after leading the Pampanga Dragons to the first MBA National Championship in 1998.

with Powerade and Alaska exiting soon ....

it would be a lonely fight by Rain or Shine against the groups of Manny Pangilinan, Ramon Ang and Bert Lina.

Alaska would know better than holding a firesale for its players. For one, their team owner, Wilfred Uytengsu, is the primary advocate for fairness and parity in the league. Second, they would be able to sell their franchise at a higher cost (assuming they opt to sell it) with marquee players remaining in the lineup. A team that has arguably the best center (Thoss) and the best point guard (Tenorio) in the PBA won't come cheap. Then, you still have marketable guys like Cyrus Baguio, Jay-R Reyes, Tony Dela Cruz, Mac Baracael, Hans Thiele, Sam Eman and Wesley Gonzales and you basically have a playoff team that you're buying if ever.

My best guess is that if ever Alaska sells its franchise, the most likely buyer would be the MVP Group. There's no denying that Metro Pacific wants to match the same number of teams that the SMC Group has to balance things out. Acquiring a very competent team in Alaska would give them the opportunity to compete almost immediately for the playoffs. Add to the fact that an Alaska acquisition would help SMART-Gilas further. We all know that among all the PBA owners, it is Uytengsu who has been vocally against the PBA's participation in the national team. With Uytengsu out and MVP coming in, that would give more options for Chot Reyes to get more players assuming SMC won't lend their players. Thoss and Tenorio are virtual picks for the national team, if ever.

                              NLEX .... Maynilad ..... Philex

                              PAL .... Wilkins ..... SLEX

unlike before not many companies are that eager to join the PBA, the high cost of maintaining a Pro Team and that the league has practically become a private playground of two business groups are unfortunately big factors that makes the PBA not as attractive as before.
