do you guys think that if Yeo was included in the trade package it wouldn't be that lopsided?

Of course smc wants to improve their team (albeit hoarding talent and being greedy at times) while powerade wants to "address their frontcourt issues" with baclao...still it's the comish's duty to look after the league, not destroy it.
and going back to that trade, smb got 3 rookies with a lot of upside but as i turned out are good as benchwarmers (so far). i mean they won a title without substantial contribution from the 2 and with the other 1 out becos of injury. and they returned to the finals sans those 3's contributions. and now, we hear that they are trying to trade all 3. pretty much an admission that they made a wrong move on that trade (at least in the short-term).

also let's bring back CRISANO
Anyways, I really am unhappy with Ricky Vargas. Noone questioned TnT's acquisition of the two best SLR players in Kelly Williams and Ryan Reyes before, right? Same fire sale, different powers involved. Both distasteful. Having a lot of teams sure sucks the competition dry.

Lacked my position there. What I ought to add is that Having a lot of teams OWNED BY A SINGLE COMPANY/ENTITY sure sucks the competition dry. The league's competitiveness may only be feasible if there's a limitation to such corporations having multiple teams. Salary cap wasn't the question before (circa the 90s) simply because players don't demand too much about salaries. Nor was the rise of player agents that time. If we do impose a salary cap, why can't we make these utterly transparent? Heck, if such salary caps do exist, lopsided trades wouldn't happen, right? Then again, how do salary caps matter if the penalty imposed would be luxury taxes these teams can afford. So yeah, argument in circles aside, it's a total whitewash. Oh well~
