      • Hmm should ROS trade Chan and Almazan for Troy and Kia's other pic? Is this a good trade for kia?

          • Tha NT can live without SMC if they won't lend. Of course a weaker lineup but a competitive one. MVP has three teams plus a farm team in the PBA. Hahaha

No. Trading Almazan defeats the very purpose of getting Troy - to go bigger. What will happen is that Troy will merely replace Almazan, and that would set back ROS' plans by a good year or two, considering Almazan's experience.

The more logical perspective (at least for ROS) is to give up someone like Belga (who's getting the max) and perhaps a second round pick of ROS this year for KIA's second pick overall. The question is if KIA will bite.

Another option is to swap picks (KIA gets #3, ROS gets #2), and ROS gives up a second round pick or a role player (Teng, Tang). That would allow ROS to get Rosario and pair him with Almazan at the slot.

              • Me too believes Almazan is untouchable at ROS. They are searching a frontline partner for him. One who is more offensively gifter for them to be able to keep up with teams like SMB, BSGM and TNT

I heard though that Kia isn't keen on the idea of getting a max player who provides the same contribution as Troy but at a higher pay

Acctually there are Trade offs, Yeng's 2009 FIBA Asia team got the collective cooperation of PBA teams yet finished 8th, (cause no one was willing to foot the bil for preparation much more recruit and pay a naturalized player) while a MVP team provides you those things ( long term preperation Gilas 1 and cadets and a naturalized player, but of course since they're footing the bill it's only right that they do it in exchange for commercial branding) end result 4th and 2nd in 2011 and 2013. So take your pick , you can't have it both ways

Yes, and if I were they, I wouldn't do it also. The Belga option came about because he's earning the max and ROS would want to do something about that. Now whether KIA will consider that is the question - and the likely answer is NO, they won't.

What I do think will happen is KIA will retain their rights to the 2nd overall pick and draft whoever's left between Tautuaa and Rosario. Imagine their regret if TNT opts to draft Rosario as the top overall pick and miss out on the Fil-Tongan. As such, they'd probably wait after the draft if they intend to make a move. Retaining Rosario would be the best move for them in terms of potential, skill and cost.

                            • Jervy Cruz to GPBP..

@LiveScoresPH: Per @ReyJoble, Jervy Cruz will be headed to Globalport in exchange for Jewel Ponferrada and the team's 2015 2nd round pick.

Ahh jewel can fit to ROS system. He's a yeng guiao type of player.
