True, it's unfair. But we'll run out of space here if we enumerate everything that's unfair in the PBA.

Besides, what would be the ideal deadline? A week before? That's equivalent to just one or two playing games for the team involved in the trade - and yet, the player "busted his chops" 12 out of the 14 games of the eliminations only to be traded. Isn't that unfair as well?

Players and fans will just have to live with this rule. It's not fair (to the player), but given the limitations of a three-conference setup, it's the ideal scenario at this point. Otherwise, the more ideal rule should be to have all trades be done in the off season or during the conference breaks.

It would also confirm that Mikee Romero is just a RSA puppet that has no say on his personnel if RSA says otherwise. Romero has been very vocal that he's no figurehead, although we're aware that Global Port - the business - is financed by RSA.

Moreso, Salud would obviously reject this trade deal that would involve two starters and max (or near-max) salaried players of Global Port for three bench players and scrubs.

labagala is a 3rd-tier pg who was was supposed to be smb player in d abl before being recalled because of bgk's pg woes.

and helterbrand is due for retirement.

sure bgk has a lot of pgs but they dont have the luxury of having good pgs. both labagala and helterbrand can be scratched in their roster and it wont make a significant effect aside from d lack of reliever for tenorio.

urbiztondo is a good addition. and more importantly, he'll provide the outside shooting in d guard positions that bgk badly needs.

better suggestion is to revert back to the 2 conference format..all filipino and unlimited height reinforced so that the conference would not be too short. This 3 conference set up is not ideal simply because each conference is too short.

For me, I'll pick Denok, Lassiter and Santos, while trade these 3 for a role players that are used to play off the bench!
