So is Gary David the only star player without a championship today? Hope he gets his ring before he retires just like Jun Limpot.
Macklin scored 6pts in 16mins in the McDonald's All-American. Gerald Anderson top-scored for his team with 16pts. Mike Conley barely played but look where he is now. Durant had 25 (in 18mins) and Daequan Cook had 17 for the opposing team. Tambak ang team ni Macklin.
Dunigan also scored 6pts in 2008.

Let's identify who the "superstars" of the league are to better find out if only David fits the bill (list wouldn't include the rookies and sophomores):
Air 21 - Cortez (with title)
Alaska - Thoss (with title), Hontiveros (with title), Baguio (with title)
Barako - Seigle (with title), Pennisi (with title)
Ginebra - Caguioa (with title), Helterbrand (with title), Hatfield (with title), Raymundo (with title), Tenorio (with title)
Global - David (without title), Miller (with title), Mercado (without title)
Meralco - Cardona (with title)
Petron - Santos (with title), Washington (with title), Ildefonso (with title), Tubid (with title), Cabagnot (with title), Miranda (with title), Yeo (with title)
Rain or Shine - everyone has a title
San Mig Coffee - Yap (with title), Simon (with title), Pingris (with title), Devance (with title)
Talk 'N Text - everyone has a title
This leaves us with David and Mercado. Both are from Global Port, making them both candidates. So the key clue would be: scoring points in bunches.

Mercado still has time to get that ring so right now it's just David who is a superstar at the twilight of his career.
Moving to Meralco won't increase his chances of winning a championship. He will eventually have to join a powerhouse team with a major cut in the paycheck if he wants to win.

The closest Air21 got was with Steven Thomas (was Arboleda part of that team? I think he was). Too bad they blew it.
