Of course, we all know what Denzel can do. The guys on the team still remember what he did for us in Game 7 of the last Commissioner’s Cup Finals. But we’re not sure about Denzel’s condition. He hasn’t played since October and he’s coming off rehab for a knee injury.”

“We’re in a quandary at the moment because Denzel will be free to join us by Feb. 20,” said Cone. “It doesn’t look like Zhejiang will bring him back because they’re close to making it to the playoffs with Curry and Douby. Coming to terms on a contract won’t be a problem with Denzel. He’s been undergoing rehab since October so his knee should be fine. We’ll go with Matt for the meantime and hope things work out.”
It means that he will pace Denzel (probably would come in mid to late part) of elims now that it became longer..
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..
        1 Big 4 small > 5 out offense.

I doubt...and I guess Matt Rogers can really help the Mixers defend their crown...
Not only does God play dice, but sometimes he throws the dice where we can’t see them.

Coach Tim is just saying the right thing, as of now its best that your import feels he has your trust and confidence so that he'll be driven to work hard and if he really does so good then there will be no need to replace him. But if you give hints to a player or for most especially to an import in this matter, that he is just a mere stand-in and ultimately you have someone just taking his time to replace him, then there is no assurance that the original import will play his best knowing he is just a mere "tempo" so that will most likely make him play with "tampo".

            • For a player like Rogers. If the pay is quite handsome he would not mind being a stand in..

But the fact that Denzel has been away from basketball since october is quite serious.. one thing why Noli and guys bat for longer 2nd conference wink wink

Yes, he is. Tough luck for Barako as both Monfort and Cruz are also at sick bay, decimating their otherwise crowded PG spot. Looks like its going to be Urbiztondo and Villanueva sharing PG duties.

I think due to the players conditioning, the Barako Bull players are falling like flies due to injuries. That hectic spartan training of Coach Rajko Toroman which Filipino players are not used to could be taking its toll. I think our players need to really change their habits as I saw the benefits of such training to the original Smart Gilas. However truth is that a number of our Professional Players really looks not to be in tip-top-shape but are also not in the form that a healthy athlete should be.

Not really, Monfort's i believe was a fluke injury and Intal's is from a previous one.

                              • Intal, Maliksi, Jonas V. are all injury prone. Longer season and wear and tear. That is natural.
