Ayala was never known to be into basketball.
Razon yes but limited to DLSU. Villar No. Tanduay? Bong Tan is dead. Robinsons? UP lang si Robina.
It will probably be guys like Pineda and provincial tycoons who are addicted to basketball. Companies like Chooks and Strong. Not big congolmerates and tycoons. Which might be good because these guys really like basketball.
But now they have been wise in recruitment, not spending that much aside from maybe cheerdancing or women's basketball (since it is Ever Bilena sponsored)

If you are Northport, what you will do to the Dave's situation? Will you hold his rights or trade him? From Slaughter, Rike, Bolick and now Dave, Northport seems hitting their Bad Karma these days.. Almost all of their players are former SMC and for sure it is subsidiary by SMC in terms of salaries (Just ask Roger Yap)...

Such modification of PBA calendar was aimed at enabling a PBA-select national team to participate in FIBA tournaments & other international competitions (like Jones Cup) which are held during the July-Aug.-September period. Also Commissioner Noli transformed the PBA into a 2-conference season format.
Those are brilliant innovations by Kume Noli. I say Noli Eala was the most national team friendly PBA Commissioner of all time. Too bad his term as PBA Commissioner was short-lived. Unfortunately likewise that his innovations didn't sit well with the interests of some PBA team owners. Syempre, gusto ng mga PBA team owners 3 pa rin dapat yung conferences in a season.

Heck make it a invitational tournament and add Pinoy Liga and MPBL Teams

Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

for discussion sake.
I dunno if it's 100 percent confirm or just a typical pass-by
as we all know the Zamboanga Sardines, Strong Group and the Akari conglomerates are still very much interested to join the PBA
and certain(plan/propose) innovations was mentioned in several press interviews on those Grandpas.
clamor on allowing AK34 to play in the PBA as a domestic player are very much in the trend nowadays
here in IBNverse we all lay down all the justification and facts about his status
one player who is also interested and recently very vocal that he is also want to play in the PBA on whatever status
would be Malik Diouf who recently played for Zamboanga Valientes in the recently concluded Asian Tournament
he already mentioned that in recent interviews
based on some observation, his inner circles are in a wait and see mode
on what will happen to Ange Koume's status at the PBA
who knows maybe they are also planning to facilitate his naturalization depending on the Senegal national team if he will be included in their pool
our naturalization process is a challenge but what if the PBA board came up with a bold innovations by allowing certain FSA to play
and expand it's existing 12 teams to 14
and eventually remove that decade old provision that teams are only allowed to parade 7 hafus per conference
indeed that restrictions are very much unconstitutional
parity, competitiveness, unpredictability, balance those are the things that tickles the fans so why deprived them?
new innovations, enhancement, improvements and revisions to replace those jurassic old provisions in the playbook will certainly excites them as well
The PBA 50th Season is fast approaching.
Let's Get It On!!

Id say if one team has a naturalized filipino, perhaps that team will keep said naturalized filipino and not be able to hire an import during the import conferences. This is probably just a temporary solution as soon this will open the floodgates to potential naturalization candidates such as momowei or even boatwright and each PBA team will have their own naturalized/fsa on their lineup.
