Yeng Guiao's disastrous coaching of our Gilas team that got massacred in the 2019 FIBA World Cup should humble him & make him realize that Phi basketball needs foreign coaches to get better."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

Parity is really not the word that best describes the problem with the PBA. It's more of collusion. The disparity is a result of teams colluding so that particular teams will remain on top.
If the college league is going to be used as an analogy, it will be between CSB and DLSU (the closest thing college has in terms of colluding)...the PBA is like if CSB and DLSU will be in the same league and CSB will sacrifice their team success to make DLSU better. But in reality, it's quite the opposite. Since DLSU is overloaded with recruits, they are working with CSB to give chances to their extra recruits. Both teams have winning championships as a goal. They cooperate when it aligns with both team's goals.
He has a point, even in the most open/free market environment, parity is hard to maintain (because team leaders have different abilities and pockets). That's why he's emphasizing on the word parity. But we all know that's bullocks and just verbal gymnastics to skirt away from the real problem.

May as well make it like Europe with club system where TNT and SMB\Ginebra can be the Real Madrid and Barcelona of the league, that’s basically what it’s like anyways
