It would be improbable that he was already that good but was rarely played. Its more probable that the confidence and training in Gilas helped him reach another level.
He did not make a quantum leap in terms of Asian standards when he went local. Of course he was still young and developing when he arrived so there would be improvement. He had much better opportunities to play here and he took advantage, but the point is the low usage rate in D1 did not stunt his growth just like how nba/gleague no-name benchwarmers still tear up the PBA. Levels to this.

If i were TNT, if Parks decides to return to the PBA, I will include him in a trade to get Nambatac plus BWB's 2nd pick (We all know BWB's pick will go to TNT anyway)... Atleast Parks value will balance the trade offer... And if Ginebra wants Parks then they can negotiate to BWB now.. Since TNT will unlikely go to transaction to any SMC teams for Parks w/o good value...
