Good decision by Big Game James so as to give young players a chance. I've always maintained that one too old player (38 yrs old & above) means depriving one spot to a young & developing player which doesn't bode well with the interest of player development.WE DON'T COUNT YEARS, WE COUNT CENTURIES

Converge team manager Jacob Lao says Tallo didn't ask permission from the team for his stint in the Cebu game
Lao bared that Tallo is under contract with Converge until next season paying him a salary of P300,000 per month. The FiberXers will now move for the termination of that contract, he added.
“Hindi ko na po alam iba ko pa sasabihin kasi nanghihinayang po ako sa chance nya and I need not mention the salary we gave him, it’s much bigger than other players pa nga in the league,” he added.
Converge management has already asked team alternate governor CK Kanapi-Daniolco to conduct an investigation and immediately furnish it as well as the PBA Commissioner's Office the full report.Last edited by hmbopbaduwap; 01-31-2024, 03:06 PM.

most likely, direct ban might have legal implications so just having a agreement among teams not to sign him is safe. Similr to the Kaepernick issue, his camp never proved that there was collusion among nfl teams

Both players aren't worth the trouble IMO. Both leagues have tolerated worst players. Bad but talented individuals. These 2 aren't even stater or bench piece quality.

“Hindi siya nagpaalam. We didn’t know he was playing elsewhere last night. Wala kaming idea about it. But this is a sad development, we hope malagpasan n'ya 'yan (investigation),” said the source.
Lalata, a source bared, is receiving a salary of P120,000 a month in his sophomore year in the pro league.
Sources in Mindoro said Lalata was contracted to receive P15,00 per game in a tournament where the champion team gets the P400,000 purse, the runner-up P300,000, the third-placer P200,000 and the fourth-placer P100,000.
A team insider bared that another Phoenix player, RR Garcia, sought and got permission to play in a charity game in Cebu over the weekend. But not Lalata.
"Si RR nagpaalam 'yun. Ang tagal ng process before a permit came out kasi need i-assess ng Commissioner’s Office yung league, yung playing venue and the management that will hire him for the game. Itong kay Chris, wala itong paalam. So we don’t know what will happen (to him),” he said.
Though not part of the team’s regular rotation, the Phoenix official stressed that under the contract, players are not allowed to play in unsanctioned leagues without the written permission of both the team and the PBA.
Aside from possible suspension without pay or worst contract termination, Lalalata faces a fine from the PBA, which according to sources has recently raised the penalty for such 'ligang labas' violations to as much as P300,000.
